Torks random s**t
This is where I will post things that honestly in general no one will care about.
Quote:
On July, 2007, events took motion that none could truly comprehend. Looking back now, I can't help but think things would be better if it all had stayed the same. If mankind had simply been happy with the way the world worked, things could have been different. The experiments at the Cybercore Industry may have been innocent enough- messing with a form of data that allowed them to create real objects using coding, playing god- perhaps that's why it happened: the explosion that swept across the world, bringing our internet into its own plane of existence.
Gaiaonline was the first to gain its own partial reality. Taking advantage of this new form of internet, companies quickly began releasing devices that allowed us to turn our own brains into computers: simply by attaching a neurotransmitter to our foreheads, we could sit back and interact like never before.
But this was the start of the problem. Users quickly found out that by doing this they were like any other computer. They transmitted data as well as they received it. How foolish we are as humans to believe such a grand evolution in our own technology would have zero draw back and no severe consequences.
Listen to me, ramble like an old man. I truly have forgotten why I started writing this all out. Yet, I feel compelled to continue.
Gaia was near the center of the explosion, making it the center of where a lot of data gathered. Its layout was flawless- well, almost...
Being a Mod was simply a title, their accounts didn't come with any perks, making it almost impossible for them to initiate any kind of punishment to users who broke the rules. Imagine having hundreds of thousands of users running amuck without a single thing you can do about it.
I don't have to: it was total chaos. Users found that items were no longer just flashy equipment, that they now gave you the ability to process and put out gigs. The more gigs you could put out determined how strong you were, but the more you had, the slower your processing was.
Users started battling it out all over the website, obliterating each other just for the sake of seeing another user explode in a spectacle of green data. Soon the Mods who had been trying to stop it all began fragging users left and right. Our community of ignorant teenagers no longer believed in the Mods and fought back. The forum I was apart of fought back the hardest. My AMC drove the Mods into a corner, refusing to accept them as dictators. They targeted them to the point where many quit. Seeing their numbers dwindle, what could I do? It was chaos; users were spiraling into a madness unknown to man if left upon their own devices. I joined the Mods in an effort to get the users under control. Following suit were several groups other than myself who feared a user run site. This was the first Gaia war, and it raged on for months.
We found that the brain could only take so much data before being over loaded- just like a computer, we could all end up crashing. Several have been found in a peaceful coma, waking up days later, while others have even fallen brain dead and simply passed away.

My doubts grew; was any of this worth one website?

But then, finally, after months of these battles The Admin awoke. She was the first self aware AI to be brought into existence. After a modification to Mod items (giving them the ability to ban anyone it hit), I could finally see the ending, I could finally see peace. Users would now simply give up after an announcement that they could lose their accounts.
Sadly, that announcement never came. Instead, they struck the fear of Mods into the hearts of the users by obliterating a good portion of the AMC regulars. The order came from The Admin, and no Mod would oppose her.

Since then, peace has swept the gaia servers. The Mods have brought an unsettling peace. And yet....something is wrong.
Users keep getting banned without reason.
Viruses are swarming about.
And our Mods are acting odd.

Something must be done. I will get to the bottom of this. My good friend Tyruby has vanished, but according to his profile he hasn't logged out or been banned. Yet I am unable to find his location on any server. I'm going to meet up with a friend of mine and have her help me search for him today. I won't stop until I find him.
This turned out lengthy, the rantings of an old reg. I hope to whoever is reading this that you took something out of it.

July 2 2012 Shins Last Journal Entry.

Prologue, End.

Notes: I am not a writer. Therefor I know my grammar blows. I hope to later on get someone to do some editing for me. However I do not intend to have a complicated writing style. My goal is for anyone to be able to read this. This Prologue may come under editing. Hope you all enjoyed this, my next post with be just as lengthily but will contain pure information. Leave questions in my comment box.
Notes Vr2: Thank you Feli for the revision. The flow for the prologue is now much better.
