5 years ago she was banned from the Soul Society 9th squad captain for killing a human. After that she has been stuck to roam the earth killing the darkness that stands in her way for hopes that she can earn back the Soul Society. Later on when she was 13 years old she was offered the the mist ring for the guardian of the 11th generation Vongola sky guardian. She accepted from being love struck but now she uses her power to protect the humans she once hated.

When she twitst her blade like a key followng by "Open" she can creat an illusion, much like genjutsu she can create her own twilight world world to effect her opponents, she has to do it without any movement so the Shikai can work.
Bankai:
Her bankai is activated by driving her sword through the earth, her bankai is a faster way of her doing her Shikai.
but what's diffrent is she can use the Zanpakuto from her past enemys using there bankai and shikai.
