Melodramatic Rants FTW

It doesn’t hurt, people finally recognize your pain and you get to see your favorite color. What else is there? Happiness cannot ever find its way from so much pain that no one acknowledges, and since they do not acknowledge it, you are forced to keep it. And let it out. Drop by drop. Cut by cut. Until there is no more on the inside. Till there is no more life coursing through your veins. Till it is all on the outside and you finally give people a reason to shun you. A reason they have wanted all along.

Happiness is is an illusion, but it is a good one felt by so many people that it must have elements of truth. And you stand there behind the illusion, with the strangest combination of pity and jealousy.

No one actually cares. They care about how you will affect them. Not you. They care about how people will look at them if they help. Well the people who do care I can’t stop admiring. But the fact is unless you have seen true pain you cannot care. Unless you know how it feels you don’t want to prevent them from going there. You just want to prevent yourself from dipping a little lower. But if you have been to hell and back ('scuse how trite this is) then you can truly say you care and you don't want anyone to go through that. The sad thing is it’s only the ones who have been to hell and back who can tell the difference. And they don’t have the heart to say anything. Because people would realize how few friends they really have. All my life I have wanted to be selfless, but it is this desire itself that has prevented me from reaching that goal.
