I must have blacked out; I realized now that I wasn't in the doctor's office or anywhere near the hospital. That much I could figure out. What I didn't understand was how I ended up back in the alley off of 32nd Street. Did I dream I went to see a doctor?
Did I even really wake up at all?
Talk about your Manic Mondays.

The only difference between now and earlier is that there was not a letter, instead, the Maserati I had stolen the previous day was at the end of the alley.
Freaked and completely confused, I picked myself off of the ground and ran to get into the car. To my surprise, the key was still in the ignition and no pink letter was visible.
Where do you plan on going?

I really had no place to go, seeing how my apartment was obviously not a safe zone. After a brief planning period, I decided I had no where to go. Would I be safe anywhere? What about her? Even though driving in my current condition- blackouts- wasn't very bright, I had to know why I was a target.

Turning the key in the ignition, I realized the car wouldn't start. Just as I looked up to say a few silent curses to myself, an on-coming truck slammed into the front of the Maserati, and I was out cold.
