Welcome to the continuation of my 'About Me' section as well as a brief FAQ section. I've decided to do this because I get repeat questions and because there are some things which I believe should be explained.
First, questions that I've been asked over and over:
Q: Can you help me get a job with Disney?
No, I cannot. I am no longer working there. I am not in charge of admissions, auditions, nor do I know if the people who were in charge when I worked there are still in charge now. A lot of young, college students do this program for a brief period and then leave. If you want to be a face character, you'll have to look into if your city or a city near you is holding auditions and try out.
EDIT: Okay, I still got questions about this one. Yes, there is a height requirement for characters. People who are shorter tend to end up in the suits. Disney wants princesses and other females to be a specific height for photo reasons, i.e- They don't want you towering over little kids. And, yes, there is a weight requirement. Please, for the love of ******** everything, don't send me a message about how you're beautiful and fat and Disney should hire you. The princesses aren't fat. You are not going to be hired. A company which targets families isn't going to glorify a bad image.
I got remarks where people actually complained to me that auditioning is unfair. Do you also think that interviews for jobs are unfair? Because this is basically the same thing, except it's a three part process. As I've said, check if anywhere near you is holding auditions. I only found out because there was a flyer on a board at my old college. Theater/dance is usually something that they want you to have had experience with.
There is no waiting. You will be told right then and there if they want you or not. The best that I can suggest to you is to stretch before you go, wear comfortable clothes (sneakers or jazz shoes, you're going to have to dance in one part), eat something that is filling but won't cause you to feel nausea (you'll be jumping around), and to SMILE. Seriously, smile and be confident. They love that. They LOOK for that. You will not come off as arrogant, I promise.
Q: If you're a model, why aren't you in 'Victoria's Secret?'
VS isn't the sole career or gig for models. Modeling itself has many branches. One could be a nude model for college art classes. Others model for boutiques and independent tailors and designers. There are many fields; Glamour, cosplay, nude, swimsuit, catalog, lingerie, stock, etc. Have you ever shopped for clothing online? Those people wearing the clothes? Models. I do not want to model for VS as I do not plan on making modeling my sole career in life. It's something that I do for fun, because it pays well, and because I have the ability to. I'm attending college and I want stability, which is something that isn't guaranteed as you age within the modeling field. This is the main reason why I discontinued majoring in ballet.
Q: What is your avatar wearing?
Send me a PM and I will tell you. My equipped list is blocked for reasons mentioned in a previous journal entry.
Q: Will you add me?
I do not accept random friend requests, because there is honestly no point to this. I would rather get to know someone and then add them. This does not mean try to strike up a random conversation with me and then, after a day, expect to be my best friend. It may sound stuck-up, but I don't like having people on my list who I either never speak to or they just want to bum off of me for gold/items. I also have a history of befriending people on this website who later on prove to be jealous or psychopathic. And, the latter isn't an exaggeration. This site has people on it who seriously need to pay a visit to some sort of specialist for their fictional fixations or their identity issues.
The actual 'About Me' continuation that I have finally have had time to sit down and add:
My username is Deliacroix and I own two other accounts that I use; Princess Mi Amore Cadenza and Drawn That Way. I'm used to being called Delia, Cadence, Princess, Alice, and that's about it. I don't really tell people my real name unless they get to know me better, only because I've never liked when people who barely know you chop your name up into a little nickname and try to act like they're your BFF. Like:
"AYO RIRI, WAT UP GURL!1!!" (Not my name at all, but just using an example.)
It's awkward, because it's like.. "UH, HI? I DON'T KNOW YOU THAT WELL, BUT OKAY." lol
You read a brief version on my profile itself. This journal is just for people who are interested. I was born in Philadelphia and moved to Southern New Jersey later on in life. I moved to Boston a year after I graduated from high school and went into the modeling circuit after encouragement from strangers and friends. I'm going to a university which I get to by train. So, I feel like I'm going to Hogwarts whenever I have class and I love it. emotion_kirakira
I'm a fan of the retro lifestyle. I tight-lace train 23/7. I wear high heels or high heeled boots everywhere, except to the gym. I hate sneakers and they make my feet swell up. I love books. I'm seriously always looking for something new to read. If you have any suggestions, please leave me a comment! I'm a fast reader and I am always in need of a new book before I've finished the one that I'm on. There's also a huge list on my profile of stuff that I like and that's there so you have something to talk about if you ever want to strike up a conversation. I don't mind talking. I really don't. I'm just apprehensive to befriend anyone else on here in a close manner, because of psychos I have come across. emotion_donotwant
I don't give a s**t if you put me on ignore. If I put you on ignore, you pissed me off and I'm sure that you're old enough to understand what words, actions, or sentences would piss someone off. So, please don't hop on a mule and ask why you were ignored, feign innocence, and get butthurt over internet rejection from a stranger.
I've been posting in LD since 2010. I've had a bunch of name changes, so I don't expect you to remember me. If you do, then s**t. Hi? lol
I don't understand why some people are desperate for internet popularity or popularity in general. From someone who gets it daily offline and online, it's ******** annoying. I don't say it to sound stuck up, either. I genuinely don't like it. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE ******** ATTENTION COMES FROM THE GENDER I'M NOT INTERESTED IN. If you're someone who needs to be the center of attention or gets mad because they're not an ultra-super-recognized-regular in a forum or some s**t, please just put me on ignore right now and pretend that I died or something. I'm tired of meeting people like this. If you want attention, go make a porno and leave me alone.
Much love, have a nice day. emotion_bigheart
