Braces? Wtf?
Wow I'll just say this straight out braces suck a**. Any who, on May 11th, my friend's birthday I had to go to the orthodontist so they can put braces on me. First of all, my dentist didn't recommend me to get braces, second of all they are so damn annoying, thirdly they keep scraping my inner lip, fourthly it's the second day so my teeth are sore.
So no more chewing ice, no more 'hard' food, no more pretzels etc. Whatever.
Well the process of putting them on wasn't so bad, so when I got to the office they decided to take pictures of me first. Oh yeah side view, front view, serious look, happy look you name it. Then they did impressions which was basically shoving playdoh in some mouth outline thing and shoved it into my mouth. That stuff tastes like s**t, why would they shove playdoh up your mouth. At least pick some strawberry flavored playdoh or something. Hell and with that taste in my mouth they squirted some liquid hardening thing in my mouth too for a mould of my teeth. That stuff had no taste thankfully.
With all the set up out of the way, it was time for the real deal. Before the 'brackets' went on my teeth they used some black liquid to polish my teeth. That tasted just as bad as the playdoh. After the polishing I had to rinse my mouth and then they put the brackets on. One by one they placed it on my teeth, after that the wires went in and tadah full set of braces on my teeth.
The getting use to it process is really difficult, if feels like I have stuff in my mouth so my lips look more pouted. I smile a lot more just because the braces are so fricking annoying against my inner lip. Oh one more thing I have a f**king lisp. Honestly that is ridiculous of all things I get a lisp. Now words with ‘f’ in it are enunciated so much it drags out. Same with the‘s’ really ridiculous.
So currently I'm stuck with soft foods like yogurt....porridge and old people's s**t food like that. Woohoo at least I can finally lose some weight from basically starving to death.
