I am in total disgust that Gaia would promote scams
The other day a friend of mine (on gaia and IRL) brought to my attention gaia's new "Cash Granting" schemes. Which can be found in the Community post "Earn Gaia Cash by completing sponsored offers!" I was thoroughly disgusted with the low lengths Gaias staff has stooped. This sites general Audience is between the ages of 12 and 16. Though there are younger and many older, this teenage audience is suseptible to falling victim to online scams, which is what makes up the new "Cash granting" offers!
Gaia fails to properly explain that Most if not ALL the offers are the typical virus carrying web advertisements that try to steal personal information from people that just dont sit and think about what they are doing! ALL of the free offers are scam sites wanting addresses, phone numbers, SS #'s, credit card numbers; ALL personal numbers that teenagers shouldn't be giving away without adult consent! Gaia is promoting identity theft with young kids. This new "system" is only going to cause a lot of parents grief and gaias staff an earfull.
Not the smartest move Gaia.
I went through 1 free ad just to double check before I made this post and my opinion stands. Gaia has made a terrible mistake.
Thanks Gaia, for making the internet a SAFE place for the youth. This is just one more tainted web-hangout.
