*Note: So, yah, this is part of an assignment that we had to do for an assignment for english, creating a character then writing a story that they tell that also fit their personality. Mine is a girl that is always hyper, and seen as a nerd to many, and think vampires are awesome. I decided to tell her edited verson of the way her mom died. So yah I don't know if you will like it, but I just wanted to put it up. haha
The dark room only seemed lonelier by the minute, as fearful eyes watched as the only source of light, the red number, changed from a smaller number to a higher number, all the way to nine then it would repeat itself again. The shadows even reminded the eyes of the time passing, as the light from moon, on behind the closed windows, seemed to call them towards it. As for the noise in the room, the only sound you could hear was the uneven breathing of the fragile girl laying in the bed. She curled up in her blanket, hoping that some how the softness would stop the pain, that some how the smell would easy her mind, or that it would even stop the watering in her eye. She kept hold of it, as tough it was her only tie to the outside world. If the pain was not enough, her thoughts only caused things to worsen. She was more than upset over the choice she had made not to long ago. It was the stupidest thing she had ever done in her life.
Perhaps it would have been better, if her dark knight was a creature like Batman. At least, he would have known the pain and darkness of a beating heart. She bet he would have even have avoided this from even happening. Well, that being for multiple reasons. But never the less, even his playboy side, Bruce Wayne, wouldn’t have played with the feelings of a girl such as herself. However, how many times she looked at it, by putting different people in the position, good or bad, it didn’t really matter. Like a fool she fell for his tricks he played. And now, she couldn’t take her it back.
A pitiful chuckle escaped her pale lips, as she tried to laugh at herself, or to hopefully stop anymore tears. Maybe it was the want to be loved by a perfect stranger just before she died, that caused her to act this way, feeling safe at times her guard should be up, but no she watched herself fall. The sad thing is that during the times she spent with him, were the best times she had since finding that the cells in her body were acting against her, slowly, until they ended her.
“Why did you let me hurt like this?” she asked the silent room, in an exhausted voice, and as she predicted no one answered. “Coward…” she muttered under her breath as she finally allowed her grip around the blanket to loosen, her eyes slowly closing themselves, and her heart’s beating begin to feel the room’s silence lowly as it got slower and slower. Sleep taking her with ease, however, her soon waking with a piercing pain in her neck, with cold arms embracing her close. She didn’t fight the creature, she just closed her eyes and relaxed, knowing she was saved and was soon going to become a citizen of the night world.
The next morning, the girl was found in her bed, with a peaceful look upon her face, and a blood stain kiss upon her forehead. This puzzled the nurses, seeing no sign of a struggle or harm to the patient. All they knew was that young Anna Zerange was a patient suffering from cancer with in the stomach, that had started moving itself back to the spinal cord. She had been suffering for four months, and had already been expected to only live for a few weeks, which would have only been filled with pain.
“And the moral of the story is that it would be safer to date Batman, instead of a vampire.” the girl said with a smile as she poured more of the colored sugar from the Pixie Stick in her mouth
