My sister gradutated from BMT on last Friday.
And, today I went to my big sister's place and guess what!
I GOT PICTURES!
My lil sister sent us her graduation pictures, so, I have two little funky key chain ones, and, a lil calendar one.
Yay!
I must say that getting pictures from her Really helps me feel better.
I mean, me and my sisters have NEVER lived more than 30 miles apart from each other.
And now the little one is in Texas. x_x I'm in Oregon.
Far far away.
Anywho, now I have a photo of her.
The calendar is right next to my computer, and, one of the key chain thingies is on my belt. ^_^ So, I will always have a picture of her with me.
I know for some people, pictures don't mean anything to them.
But, when my dad went to Iraq for Desert Shield/Storm... he was gone so long that I had forgotten what he looked like. Seriously. Sure, we had older pictures of him, and pins with him on it, but, it's not the same as getting an updated picture.
I remember sitting in the truck on base as bus load after bus load of soldiers unloaded. I would watch them men get off the bus and ask myself "is that one my dad?" It's a feeling I -never- want to have ever again.
So. I am super happy to have a new picture of my lil sister. I have one in my wallet of her Senior Picture, but, it's a couple years old.
SHE LOOKS SO GROWN UP! And a lot like dad does. She's got his eyes... odd smile... and ears. ^_^ I am so proud of her. Words can't discribe how proud of her I am. Seriously. It's insane.
Anywho. 5:20 am and I need to sleep. I get to watch my nephew tomarrow. ^_^
YAY!
