“This is the last straw” a young woman with fox ears and tail wearing a white dress screams as the air around her began to spiral she places her staff in the ground a cruel brute of a man looks at her in disbelief weilding a club like sword over his head
the pendent around her neck begins to slowly glow a bright red dark flames encircle her body
“this isnt the first time ive need to summon these powers” her mind slips into memories
many years ago there is a small village with many huts with fox people running around, the elder ones caring for the younger generation
a lone mother walks hand in hand with her young pup her daughter wears a white dress and a tiny pendent around her neck she smiles so peacefully walking with her mother the village is at peace
but in a flash a rain of flaming arrows comes down from the sky the huts begins to catch on fire men carrying weapons begin to invade the small village
they scream words of eliminating a potential menace some shout words of treasure and fame
the mother runs and tries to hide her child, whos screaming and crying
these strangers run around killing the men some capture females and take them screaming for help the men begin to eliminate the children one by one
one man sees the mother of the child and runs towards her and her child
the mother screams as she tries to stop the man she manages to push him back, causing him to drop his staff like weapon the mother cries leave her child alone
her cries go unheard as the man pulls out a small dagger from his boot and stabs the mother in the heart
her child cries as she falls to the ground
her mother says only four words “Be strong, my baby” the life slowly fades from her eyes
the man looks at the child and readies his dagger
the child picks up the staff and tries to drive him away he laughs at her efforts
she cries and screams for her mother her pendent slowly begins to glow as the air spirals around her
the man screams profanity trying to make sense of what is happening
back in the present the brute like man tries to run and knock her down before she can continue but before he can take a step sharp blade like sensation past his face
her hair turns as blue as clear water and all at once the world stops as she stares at the brute
“tell the man who killed my mother,” she stares him in the eyes “nineteen down thirty four more to go”
a pulse is felt in the air
the man is shot back into a nearby tree
he screams as his body is torn apart
silence
the young fox woman begins to walk away her pure white dress unstained her hair still shining blue her pendents glow beginning to fade she clutches the staff in her hand and begins to leave and in another pulls out a heartshaped book with these words written across its cover “Never forget”
