In a forest darker then the twilight of the darkest night, a small light could be seen. A man no older then twenty was sitting in front of a small campfire holding a map.
“Finally, I should be close now,” he said looking at the map. Suddenly the fire went out, sitting there in the dark, staring at the spot his only light had been, He knew what was coming. Folding the map and putting it away in his pocket, he kicked the rocks that had been around the fire, and hid the scorched ground as best he could then left the seen as fast as he could. Soon after a group of four people arrived.
“He’s been here alright.” said a man also in his twenty’s with a slight chuckle, as he looked at the badly covered scorch marks on the ground.
“Which way do you think he went?” asked a young women in her late teens.
“Well, I think he did this deliberately, you know to confuse us,” said a young man also in his late teens.
“Hmph, you think far too much though, he’s fallowing the map remember? He can’t have gotten that far,” said a cloaked figure. “Spread out and find him, he mustn’t find them!” The cloaked figure yelled to the others, and as soon as the words out the three were gone. “You will be found and I will stop you from finding the “statuses”. I will rule this pitiful planet and my blade will cut you down once and for all.”
Meanwhile five miles away, “Damn, I can barely see the map now. Hmm, something different is coming…There!” He quickly thought of all the dangers this forest had when suddenly two small cat-like creatures popped out of the bushes. “Hmm, they look like “Carbuncle” , what luck,” he said with a slight sigh. Without another word he started moving again, he heard a small sound from behind, turning his head slightly he saw the two creatures were following him. “Alright, you can come if you can show me the cave on this map,” said the man, squatting down and showing them the map. The two looked at the map then at each other then silently started walking, then after about three feet started running. Moments later they were at the cave. “Finally, I’ve arrived at the “Cave of Elements”, inside this cave are the planets last hope, “The Statuses of Six.” The two carbuncle went into the cave and as the man started to follow, he saw them out of the corner of his eye. The four that had been chasing him where their ready for a fight.
“Well, well, well, what do we have here, hmm? A man at the end of his rope still not willing to let it go and die, like all the other scum that has tried too stop me, and failed,” the cloaked one said. “And what a shame too, you were so close too. Oh well, you have evaded your fate long enough. Now you die!” As the cloaked figure drew a sword and started closing in on the man a brilliant flash of light happened, and it was over.
