Saddening Voices

You adults think we have it so easy

You see life in your eyes and think we're slezye

You think our lives are all fun and games

But we work so hard to stay the same

There is drugs, alcohol, gangs, and violence

But you don't see us work to keep the pressure in silence

We hide our sadness and pain

But many of us still go insane

When you find the lies you start yelling and accusing

You don't even ask if this is confusing

You really don't see that we were hiding from you

You didn't see all of our clues

You just kept on screaming

But your were not even hearing

We hide and lie so you don't have to

We suffer in silence for you

Please, listen to us when we try to talk

Don't just scream and walk

We try and try to say something

But it's just like talking to nothing

For once in our lives listen to us see how we cry

You have done nothing but make our hearts die

When you finally wish to listen it's to late

We are either dead or untrusting as to this date

You start crying and wondering what happened in our lives

And you still don't see us telling you of our strives

You are blind to us and deaf to our words

So you never really knew what occurred

You lost your family to your selfishness and choices

Forever deaf to our saddening voices
