Chapter 2:
Falling to Earth

It was quiet night just like any other day in autumn. Maxine, blonde hair, light green eye’s, a 17-year-old girl was alone doing some last minute French studying for the next day of school when she saw something in the corner of her eye. Her room was in a dolphin theme and as she sat on her blue bed with the most random purple pillows – or so I’ve heard – anyway, she looked outside her window and wished on what she had thought to have been a shooting start.
“Please let something, new and interesting happen at school this year,” Max started giggling, “I wish it was so… or I’ll be bored!” The giggle turned into a huge burst of laughter before she had looked back up at the ‘star’ and she stopped? It looked as if this ‘star’ was now heading straight for her house, Maxine was really puzzled so she closed her eyes and hugged herself while thinking her life was at it’s end.
One tear fell down her cheek when she heard a giant splash. She jamp to the window wiping that one tear off her cheek, her eyes now so wide they looked as if they would pop out. Max looked around and along the beach when she noticed not to far down was a metal dome-shaped object of sorts. “What the?” She said, now a very confused girl.
She turned to her door and took her school blazer that was lying on the chair next to her bed, ran down the stairs almost falling when she was half way there and shooting out the door like there wasn’t going to be a tomorrow. Maxine then made her way down to the beach and across the sand until she came across the metal dome. To her amazement that star was a vehicle with two very strange looking girls lying next to it. The only reason she thought they were strange was because they had extended ears.
The one girl had a strange but beautiful and shiny necklace on that looked as if it was made of some kind of glass. It was light purple in colour and the shape of a butterfly, Max just could not resist something so cute so she leaned over and so got close to grabbing the pendent when the girl it was on snatched her hand and opened her eyes.
“I’m sorry, so very sorry, please don’t kill me, I’m sorry!” she said with fright waking the other girl with orange hair and brown eye’s, while the one holding her hand laughed “Ha, ha… My name’s Kayla” she said randomly with her medium brown hair blowing in the soft breeze that had picked up and her crystal blue eye’s looking like the colour of the evening sky just after a sunset when the other girl snapped, “Your highness! You just told her your real name princess!”
Kayla looked at the girl in front of her shaking her head, “So your name is…” Max was so shocked and exited at the same time, “Maxine, Maxine Nina Cone” she said and looked over at the unnamed girl and whispered to Kayla, “And who’s your scary friend” the ‘scary friend’ heard this and replied for herself, “Lana Adams, royal best friend and prophecy holder of Zambala” this puzzled Max even more.
“Zambala? I don’t think I’ve heard of that place,” she said in a know-it-all kind off voice, “Is it far from here?” Lana was just about to answer when Kay stepped in, “It’s a planet…” she started and Maxine’s face dropped, her mouth looking as if it would go dry, “in the Gruzda solar system – and just like there’s life on only your planet within this solar system the same goes with us, except our planet is 5th from our sun.” Poor Max felt really stupid as she forgot there were other Planets never mind other solar systems. Finally after looking up into space for a while she invited the girls up to her house, there she fed and clothed them, Told them about herself like her age, that she was French and her favorite subject at school was history as well as saying her favorite colour was turquoise. Then it swapped and the princess told a bit about herself and her friend, “Well, I’m 218 this year which on your planet basically means I’m just 18 and Lana is about 217 so she’s your age here.”
She paused looking around Maxine’s room – she thought the dolphins were a bit young for someone her age but surprisingly Lana liked it, weird. “I’ve learn’t Spanish while my friend went for Chinese.” The princess added and at this point Lana continued relaxed and seeming to be, kinda, nice. “Her favorite colour is white and mine is red, don’t you love that sound, red.” She fell silent for a sec then continued, “My best subject is Science and she does Biology but don’t all only children love that subject?”

I guess she was trying to make a joke at this point, don’t think it worked to be honest.

Then they spoke about why they arrived on this planet, cause you see, there is a prophecy on Zambala that tells a tale of a great battle between its only two cities… Ayakeno - north and Nedokaya – south. Both have hearts yet no’one is quite sure what these hearts are or where they are, in fact they aren’t even sure if they exist. “So what part are you from Kay” Max said and Kayla was proud of her new nickname so when she answered her it was short, sweet and to the point “South.” LOL!
It was said however, that if they where put together the people of their planet (Zambala) would no longer be apart, they’d unite to form a perfect race. But at the moment it looks like this war between the two cities will never end, the war could go on forever unless the prophecy comes true and everyone thinks the prophecy is a joke.
While the girls chatted on through the night another pod landed three neighborhoods away but it was different as two male figures stepped out of this one and a boy called Devon whom introduced himself on the spot took them in for the time they’d be on this planet. He also had blonde hair and green eye’s but darker than Maxine’s. “I’m Eric and this is my little bro Matthew,” said the older more handsome alien whom had black hair and semi-dark blue eye’s that looked like the ocean at sunrise when his little brother said with his black hair all messy and his gray eye’s looking dull, “We’re princes and just call me Matt, okay.” They were obviously from the north – seeing that Lana and the princess were from the south.
The oldest 221 or a 21-year-old man and soon to be crowned king asked what the date on this planet was, confusing the young man in front of him whom replied looking at his watch, “It’s the 4th of September 1998 and the exact time would be, 11:36 pm and 26... 27... 30 seconds.” Eric gave him an odd look then stared at his brother, whom was three years younger, for a moment just before asking if there were any schools within the immediate area in which he could attend while they stayed here. Same went for Kayla whom asked if Lana and herself could attend Max’s school on their trip here.

Little did the royals know – their paths would soon meet and as fate it would have it, the aliens in war with each other met and well... you need to keep on reading.
