After watching much Yahtzee and agreeing with him on many points, a friend of mine and I went on a little rant recently about the unoriginality in many games. Long story short, we started applying our psychotic story writing abilities to the prospect of gaming, and miraculously stumbled upon something really cool, given the proper battle engine. (Also, the fact that two ADD ridden, hyperactive teenagers came up with something better than people making massive salaries is lol-tastic)
Anywho, I have felt the need to record this somewhere, and Gaia seemed like the best plan so I might get feedback.
[Note: A word of warning - this idea sounds completely psychotic upon first glance, however when you actually step back for a minute you can see the game forming and it is at the very least fun.]
So basically you play as this glass of Orange Juice. The game starts with a fully powered fight against your arch-enemy the Peanut Butter, in which you are unfortunately defeated. Most of your juice is spilled and the Peanut Butter steal your ice cubes for some diabolical plot.
You continue to battle your way around a massive kitchen - making allies and discovering enemies while gaining back your lost juice and abilities.
Then, when you finally gain back all your juice, you take on the Peanut Butter at the exit of the kitchen. Upon rescuing your ice cubes, you gain tremendous new abilities. But you find out from the Peanut Butter that this is only the first stage of his plan, and that if you want to defeat him you must now venture into the outside world.
Beyond that it hasn't really been worked out, but you can see the beginnings of a neat game, right??
So please post comments and critiques, I'd love to hear them. ^^

Hey.
*WARNING* This Journal will probably just be used as a place for me to rant. If you don't agree with, congradulations, NEXT! And Please don't post stuff about NOT agreeing with me unless you can actually provide an intelligent arguement. Just

If it weren't for gravity and law enforcement, I'd be unstopable.
