Ch1 of my book(new)
“I saw a flash of metal. Probably a knife or something. The demon brought it out and mouthed, ‘Your gonna get it’, and ran off into the forest. I just don’t understand. I don’t even know the guys and he’s trying to cut my head off!” Ayuu sighed looking confused, “No violence ever happens in Ellikor mom. It’s slowly creeping in like fog over a bay.” A tiny Cresentdragon hopped in her arms, greeting her with a nuzzle. “It seems the unholy lands are starting to spread. Soon zombies will attack to rid this world of holiness. Remember Ayuu, here you must address me as Master Ray.” The ruler of Ellikor wined at the thought of the holy city being overthrown by evil. “Don’t get so down Master Ray. I mean, we do have angelic soldiers on our side after all.” She stroked Gale, the Cresent, lovingly. Gale made a purring like sound. “Aye, but it takes even more to kill the undead. This city can’t be overthrown. Without a holy city, this world becomes one with the underworld. That happen, the holy people will murder their families and then kill themselves. They’d be better off dead then in a world one with the underworld. We all would…” Ray sighed, “ Go as I think of something to do.” Ayuu hugged Ray tight and left with Gale.
Gale chased a small ball around, occasionally pouncing on it as if it were imaginary prey. The rain greeted Ayuu’s’ window with small plops. Ayuu was worried, she lay tense on her bed watching the drops streak across her window. “Gale, I’m so worried. If we lose Ellikor to the demons, there will be bloodshed everywhere…” Gale studied her for a moment and resumed playing with a shrug. Ayuu pulled her long, brown hair into a tie and sat up. The knot teasing her stomach refused to let her rest. “Let’s see if mom has come up with something.” Ayuu whispered picking up Gale.
The halls were quiet, only sounds of snoring and the pitter-patter of rain greeting the windows. A tall teenager with short black hair and red wings stood guard at Ray’s door. “Tim, is Ray awake?” “Aye, she can’t sleep because of the worry.” Tim yawned and stretched. “Thanks, I need to talk to her.” Ayuu whispered. Tim took Gale and rubbed his belly, “Go right in, I’m gonna play with him for a while.” Ayuu nodded and cautiously walked in Ray’s room. “Mom? You here?” “Aye…” Ray sat sipping Ginger Ale. “Come up with anything yet?” Ayuu sat and studied her worried expression. “ No, I can’t think straight. Let me think overnight. Whatever you do, don’t tell anyone. I’d dread a panic breaking loose,” Ray’s voice had a quiver to it, “Understand?” “Yah, I won’t, promise. Sleep well mommy.” Ayuu walked out. Tim was tickling Gale, “Gale needs to go to bed now, Tim.” Gale groaned and clung to Tim wanting to stay and play more. “I’m sorry buddy, you have to go to bed. I’ll be here tomorrow. No worries.” Tim pet his head and gave him to Ayuu. Gale pouted and sat in Ayuu’s arms. “Suck it up big boy.” Ayuu teased.
Ayuu changed into pajama’s and stretched out on her bed. Gale had a small pajama top on with blue paw prints, he curled in her armpit and used her arm as a pillow. Soon both fell into a deep sleep.
