♥ animal creulty is not a joke, it's a crime. it's not OK to hurt pets, livestock or wild animals, but people do it all the time.
DOG FIGHTING
the popular (and illegal) "sport" of dog fighting has led to increasing pitbull abuse and abuse of other bull breeds like the american bull dog, american staffordshire terrier and more. these dogs are as wonderful as possible, the epitome of "man's best friend" -in the right hands. to make the dogs fight, they are beaten, frightened and given little to no medical care. these creatures are forced to fight. the dogs either die by their injuries 1 2 3 (warning: graphic) or have to be put down because all they know is fighting and have no chance of being adopted. view more of poor gypsy (the dog from image 3) here, you can see just how tiny she is. she's just one of many pups forced into this "sport" of cruelty.
as a result of the abuse many areas are banning these wonderful breeds. it's a shame that they must further suffer as a result of man's own betrayal. these animals fight for us because they are devoted to us, because we bred them to fight and because we forced them to.
please, help stop animal cruelty. don't hesitate to contact legal authorities if you know of an abuse animal. these poor creatures have no voice of their own, they need your help, they need you to speak for them. please don't take in a pet if you can't afford to feed it, love it and give it proper medical care. a pet is like a child, it depends on you for food, shelter and love. an animal is a living, breathing, feeling creature just as we are and they should be treated as one.

FACTORY FARMING
visit the factory farm project to help stop abuses by the livestock industry. in factory farms animals are terribly abused, which leads to problems in our food. if factory farming wasn't such a big industry "mad cow disease" would not be an issue.
please check out that website, it's full of great information on where you food comes from and why you may just want to think twice before putting it in your mouth.

some things that you can do to help stop animal cruetly:
♥ don't purchase animal products (products made from animals: especially furs, ivory, reptile skins)
♥ don't purchase products tested on animals
♥ donate to your local animal shelter/ humane society
♥ adopt pets
♥ spay/neuter your pets
♥ call the police if you see an animal being abused (remember: people who abuse animals are just as likely to abuse people!)
♥ don't participate in animal fighting
♥ avoid puppy mills
♥ write to your representatives in congress and let them know you care about animal welfare
♥ avoid factory farmed meats and dairy, buy free-range products
