What some of you don't know is I love to write poetry sometimes. This one is about the loss of a dear friend due to a car accident. I wrote this about 4 years ago in May.

It's been 7 years since you went away.
I wish somehow you could have stayed.
You left this world so young.
So much was still left undone.
You always had warmth in your heart.
We were friends from the very start.
You always had a smile on your face.
It was a smile nothing could erase.
Your heart was only filled with love.
That's what made you rise above.
Your sitting with the angels now.
I wish I could see you again, but how?
I still remember the good old days.
Life was nothing, but a race.
I never had the chance to say good-bye.
Every year I sit and cry.
I miss you a lot.
You are gone, but I never forgot.
This is my chance to say good-bye.
No more tears, no more cries.
My memories of you will always corrupt.
