A bead of sweat rand down sakuras cheek. chitose was just waiting for them to attack when her pendant started to glow. It was a signal to go back where she came from.
"Till next time young one." chitise punned as she glided out of the window.
Sakura went to sit at her bed already transformed back to her normal self. Nico untransformed as well. they sat there on her bed,nothing could be heard but the steady breathing from nico.
"nico, i have afew questions for you."Sakura implied looking down to the floor.
"like what?"nico asked.
"like what am i and why are the ANIMA after me, it makes NO sense at all why would they do this???" yelled Sakura as she looked up at nico, Tears welling in her blue eyes.
"i thought you would ask this, Sakura you are very special you are known as the Vermillion Tear. The one prophesized to destroy the ANIMA and end this bloody war once and for all. You are the key of destruction, well to them you are." Nico said flatly.
"but why ME!!"sakura cried.
"because it is destiny!" Niceo yelled. "you were chosen for a reason you CAN fight this, you just need training!"
Nico grabbed sakura and held her in his arms as she cried. They sat there for hours until finally sakura looked up at nico and gently kissed his lips. Nicos eyes widened. he had never been kissed by the vermillion tear while protecting her.
Sakura quickly looked to the ground.
"im sorry its.. just, never mind"sakura said running out of her room and out the front door.
"sakura wait!"nico yelled to her but she was already gone.
He ran out of the door and down the street. he looked everywhere but she was nowere to be found. He suddenly picked up her scent. She was on top of a building her tears running down her face. Nico flew up to her checking if she was injured or hurt. She finally looked up.
"nico thank you. for everything. for helping me thorugh this and comforting me while i was feeling down, i will go thorugh with your training and i WILL defeat the ANIMA." sakura quietly said.
"sakura are you sure?"nico curiously asked.
"yes, and i hope the kiss will not make any akward feelings between us."she said.
"feel free to do that anytime." nico said as he smiled.
Sakura gently laughed.
"well since you have decided to fully become the Vermillion tear i will have to take you to the Guardians. There you will meet the guardian of light and darkness. You already have the power of light but darkness she will give you a whole new power." Nico infered.
Sakura looked up and asked," what kind of power will she give me?"
A grave look was on nicos face as he told her, "she will give you the power to hate and detest, the power to kill. Sakura you must promise me you WILL refuse to take this power."
"i promise." Sakura replied.
