When stricken, turn the other cheek and ask for their reasons.
If for good reason, then you probably deserved it and should work out a peaceful compramise.
If for bad reason, attack with everything you have. Do not stop until the target begs for its life.
Grant that mercy and give warning to straighten their act. For a much less patient person would have killed them.
