Poor little journal, how I neglect thee....

ANYhoo, what's happened since the cow-tipping fest? I think this needs to be categorized, it's been so long....really, Kleo, you're organizational skills suck.

Events
Well, there was Christmas, which invoved delivering gifts for either gaian-santa-gone-bovine or the ever-cute alien 02 (aka Narf...I wonder if that's supposed to be a pinky and the brain reference.... ninja ) and his pora bear. The little dear is adorable - we supa lobu you, kid! wink

Recently was the Valentine's blitz - kissing galore! I'm swamped with those stupid necklaces now though.... sweatdrop But hey, it was fun overall- the messages you got as you kissed were hilarious!

Now I wait for the anniversary ball tomorrow - I still have no idea what to wear, either, since it sounds like dressing up for THIS ball is taken seriously. eek

My Little Bubble of Gaian Reality
Well, I was going to make an entry about this right after it happened, but....yeah. redface
Shortly after the giftgiving feature came back (or for me, arrived, since it was new), I stumbled across a gem of a thread in the GCD. A user got a weird message with a gift, and invited us to share as well. Next thing I know, I had pancakes thrown at me (among other things) and I'd joined in the revelry. Many gift-giving personas abounded, and we had a grand time trying to figure each other out and giggling over the messages. Over the course of the next few days, I think I literally gave and recieved dozens of gifts, mostly daily chance junk as a means of passing out notes, but the occasional donation item floated around - I got a Momo, and gave a letter.
....although it's probably in bad taste to give up a secret identity, since I did it in the thread I'll put in down here for posterity's sake. My longest-running character was Zurg PR rep #31415926535, who ran around on behalf of the Zurgian council making requests and asking questions of the curious creatures of the thread. The letter I gave out (november - you know, with the UFO? wink ) was a surprise gift for figuring out the secret of my staff number.... ninja I tried my best to make my gifts match the message and personalize the items for the users, and had a blast doing it. (I also learned that DVD players eat pancakes for breakfast....so any DVD players The Zurg PR gifted were promptly followed by their breakfast. That's the sort of strangely cute thing the Rep would do in his/hers/it's ignorance rofl ) It was sad when the thead died, but we all ran out of items +/or creativity...That's not to say I don't occasionally giftsnipe newbies or other random people that impress me....*shifty eyes*

Oh, I probably should have mentioned this ages ago, but my original dream nymphesque avi complete! 4laugh It wasn't that hard, since it cost a grand sum total of something like 20K....but now I feel the urge to tweak it a bit. Oh dear. sweatdrop Overall though, I'd say I'm looking pretty good. cool
Speaking of avis, my grand intention to stay Zurg until this particular plotline ends stopped rather abruptly when my customization page decided I had to be human after xmas. I haven't tried it again, but for now I'm sticking to my native species. Maybe if the plotline picks up again (for the regular users anyways - but I'm NOT going to rant about the opaqueness of plot goings-on here, so there) I'll morph back.

Real Life Gaia?

Yep, I don't believe it either...real life leaking onto internetland? confused Either way, a couple notable things have happened.

First off, congratulations Gaia - you successfully parted me with a few bucks of my paycheque when you came out with the grecian goddess donation items. Seriously - I'm a grecian Nymph! That's where she's from! That was just too perfect, so off some money went. It was actually kinda neat getting items dropped into my inventory, though I don't think I'll make it a habit - there are better things to spend money on than carefully-arranged pixels. (Although I must admit, with the sheer amound of STUFF that was being done over the holidays on gaia, the powers that be probably deserved a token of esteem.) So we shall see, but for now Kleodora is pleased with a little piece of her "homeland".

In far more interesting news: I saw someone wearing an ORLY? hat today in real life! It was so wonderfully random, and if I hadn't been in mad rush and almost missed it, I would have stopped her to say "nice hat!". Since most of Gaia's users are from places not my home, it kinda threw me to see that. If I see it again, I'll try to make a point of commenting - that would make for an interesting conversation, if nothing else!
