I have recently fallen back into the world known as Tamriel. This happened initially when I rediscovered Morrowind. It may be hard to believe, but I actually forgot that I owned the game. Regrettably it was on the Xbox instead of the PC, so I was unable to play the game with any sort of graphics mod. However, soon Oblivion was released, and I found myself caught up in the affairs of Cyrodiil. Yet soon I found myself searching through the pages at The Elder Scrolls Source for modifications that could enhance my gaming experience. Then I stopped. I don't know why, I just did. I think it had something to do with school starting and work, or I just lost interest in it. Oblivion was uninstalled and I went back to doing what I did best, nothing very interesting. Soon though, I found the allure of Vvardenfell too hard to resist, and I returned, this time creating a new character and starting from scratch. A Dunmer named Ulic Redoran. In fact, I have yet to start the main quest in Morrowind, though I have completed Bloodmoon and Tribunal. So then I figured, why not go back into Oblivion? I gave it a shot and tried my luck, once more starting a new character. This time a Nord named Caius Varo Fulcinius, why an Imperial name on a Nord? Simple! I like the Imperial names. They remind me of Imperial Rome, I know that is the point, but the Imperials (as a race) suck Guar-nuts in my personal opinion. Now that I have completed the very anti-climactic main quest of Oblivion, I have found myself wandering the lands of Cyrodiil in a never-ending quest to relieve my boredom. So I completed the Thieves Guild quests, and I am the Listener in the Dark Brotherhood. I am also the Grand Champion of the arena. As well as a number of other ranks in factions that I never really bothered to continue with just yet. Along with my enjoyment of the game, I decided to rethink the mod issue. So I returned to TESS, only to find stupendous information, Silgrad Tower version 1 had been released to the public! So what did I do? I downloaded it, installed it, and ran around the partially completed towns and landscape! I have since joined the Forums there, under the screen-name Caius Fulcinius (Hey I do have to keep a common theme here) and had become quite interested in the Beyond Cyrodiil modifications which are being made. I only hope they are finished in a timely manner, not just abandoned as the lives of the modders grow too complicated. I would assist them in modeling or implimenting, but alas, I am no modder and cannot create a texture at all. Well, enough of my pointless and senseless tale. If anyone has a copy of Oblivion and loved Morrowind, I would advise you to check Silgrad Tower out. www.silgrad.com is the place where I go. Check their forums for the other mods, they're really quite cool!
