The Surge of War

Twenty years ago the greatest war in the history of human recordings began. To this day we are still fighting, who is winning this war is not nearly determined but what we do know is it will take many years for the world to recover from this disaster. Although we are more powerful and smarter then the Surgers their numbers are much greater and we can’t kill them all. We have killed two of the Surger Ancients, Bersek Rioze known as Berserker, and Zufiol Hxorion also known as Burning Blackness. The Xionxe clan has been inactive in these 20 years; the Irixiez clan has mixed with the Svior clan, Yixriox clan has kept their own on a manmade island base.
“This is Black Hawk 260X we have visual on an egg sack, repeat we have a visual on an egg sack.” A voice said over the radio. “Copy that Black Hawk 260X we are sending a bomb squad to your location keep an eye around the area, over.” The Birdseye Tower soldier responded. “Ok the area is clear move up Chris I’ll cover you.” Mole said. As Chris ran up a Surger Infector’s legs shot out of the ground grabbing Chris, Mole held his fire knowing he couldn’t hit it without hitting Chris. “Bang, bang” two shots echoed out and the legs dropped dead. “Well you two seem to of ran into some trouble, good thing I was here.” I said grinning. “Did you pick up the Black Hawk’s signal about the eggs?” Mole asked. “Yes I did, are you two the bomb squad?” I asked. “Yah we have 10 C4 and a couple mini-nukes just in case there is a tunnel nest.” Chris Said. “You two have been a lot of help in this war, I’m sorry I doubted you guys in the beginning.” I said. “Its not a problem we don’t have the powers you do and you couldn’t trust outsiders, normal people but it doesn’t matter who can do what as long as it causes harm to the Surge.” Mole said. “Yes that is true, who it is doing damage doesn’t matter anymore, but we should get a move on and blow those eggs to hell.” I said
“Stupid humans!” Kyx Si also known as The Falling Flame yelled smashing his hand on a table. “They are so disgusting, yet we cannot kill more then one or two every 10 days.” Firionix Remniox also known as The Ender said with disgust spitting after he said it. “Ancient Surgers they have found a tunneled nest, Spike, Chris, and Mole, with enough explosives blow it up 10 times.” Sarah said kneeling before them. “What you speak is most disturbing, they do not yet know of your betrayal you must go and stop them before they can do any damage.” Frioxi Osvar also known as The Flying Mountain said. “In the old days when we were at out peak and we were ruling more then enough of this pathetic blank space, we were so powerful until the accursed humans disabled our capability to mate.” Kyx Si said. “We had reached a point of near peace but the humans would not let us have the Lefite and we were forced to go to war, and now without Lefites we cannot spread the Ancient blood again.” Frioxi Osvar said.
Russell had a team in space working on a new gun that could target nests and take them out without risk of human life. A Surger egg ship had gotten close to them, and they decided to go in and blow it up with spare ion charges. “Move in they haven’t detected our presence yet, Brian you scout for the core we will stay here and make sure they can’t get to the weapon.” Russell said. “Will do; let me get an extra clip for just in case.” He responded. A few minutes later the airlock shut behind us and we turned on the security for the gun although experimental and dangerous at least they couldn’t get the gun, Surger Flame Falls were everywhere. “Bang, bang, tak, tak, tak, and boom” They hardly singed most of the group but the Surgers were dead. “I think I found the core guys bring the” he fell to the ground “Oh my god, what is that….dear god!” After that all we heard was him screaming for a couple seconds then nothing. “This is bad, Shawn get that door open and make it quick.” Russell said reloading and cocking his gun. “Ok guy brace yourselves, if the security doesn’t recognize us we are as good as gone.” Shawn said. “Well there’s nothing we can do about that, Brian had the security codes.” Jen said. “Here we go!” yelled Shawn as the doors shot open.
“This is Black Hawk 260X we have visuals on White Hawk Sarah being pursued by a large group of Surger Crestlings, repeat White Hawk Sarah is being pursued by a group of Surger Crestlings.” Came over the radio which was immediately relayed to us. “Perfect, just perfect well we got to save her boys lets go.” I said putting on a sprint and getting on the top of a building and scouting for her. “Black Hawk 260X this is Red-Winged Wolf Spike I am in the area; can you give me a location of White Hawk Sarah?” I asked over the radio. “Roger that her location is approximately two miles north of your location moving slightly northeast, watch out for Frizfers we spotted some earlier.” The pilot responded. “Roger that, thanks for the heads up, think you could give us a ride if we catch up enough but leaving you in range of White Hawk?” I asked. “I believe I could do that, but hurry I’ll have to refuel here soon.” He responded. “Roger that we’ll radio you when we are close, Red Winged Wolf out.” I said. About an hour up we were closing in on Black Hawk 260X when five Surge Frizfers came around the corner. “Catch!” I yelled and threw my rifle to Mole, drawing my sword and ran at them full force. I slashed at one but it got away, they are the fastest Surge broods of them all. I was surrounded. “Bad move, now you can all burn!” I yelled as I engulfed everything around me in flames and the Frizfers were turned to ash. “Easy as pie, let’s get going guys.” I said. We did get moving we saw an Ancient asleep and we hurried as quietly as possible until we ran into Sarah. “Sarah what are you doing out here and where are the Surgers the Black Hawk reported?” I asked. “They are hiding and you won’t find them unless you want to die.” She said with a dark grin on her face. “I knew we should have killed you right away, mixed breeders are too dangerous to be kept alive.” I said getting into a stance ready to run at her. “Ha! You shouldn’t be talking, your mother was of the Xeonimrex clan, they took the power of demons, and I see right through you and that demon sealed in your soul!” She said. “Do not speak of my mother in such manor, take care of what you say or you will not live another second!” I yelled growling at the ready to kill her from anger. “Oh really, lets see what that demon of the damned has given you for powers!” She said drawing her sword running full speed at me. “You will die!” I yelled as I charged her. Out swords met and the strong clash of demi-metal shook the whole city.
The world had never experienced a fight between two Demi-Metal wielders; the planet shook for days while the fight lasted only minutes. “Come on your one pathetic mix breed to have that demon inside of you, ha ha ha.” Sarah laughed. “You really want to see the demon that bad then ill show you what fear really is!” I said sheathing my sword and going into an upright stance. I concentrated my power on the demon seal. My eyes broke open into slits of black, and red where it should be white. The dark powers of the Black Wolf surrounded me. “What all it does is make you look cool, how pathetic.” She said. “Die now and be swallowed into the endless pits of furious hell!” I said rushing her with such speed she couldn’t even flinch before I was on her. Hit after hit the fear in her face became greater and greater as she bled more and more. “Xeonimrex, we are the gods and I am the last of our people, all the demons were given to me to keep in control, Nothing can overpower me, that was nothing but a mere taste of a baby demons power.” I said as Sarah lay there near death. “P-please, just kill me” she coughed up blood “if you have any mercy just kill me.” She said breathing heavily. I returned to my normal state. “No I will not kill you, but I will cleanse your mind of the evil that has infested you so you may start new.” I said pressing my hand on her forehead. “Now forget about the promises of wealth and power for darkness and evil have no truths they lie to you and cannot give you what you wish for.” I said and stood up with her in my arms. “Dude what just happened?” Chris asked both him and Mole in awe at what had just happened. “It is of great history that you will never understand” I looked away from them I could sense a large group of Surgers coming and Vrunfa the Death Fox coming “We must go if we wish to save our own lives.” I said.
The Lefites had been working on Special suits of armor for Russell, Sarah, and Me. “Why in the name of the Gods are we making armor for the humans Mectia?” Skife asked. “Because they are our only hope for the harvest, if they do not live then we cannot harvest.” He said. “You speak of the harvest in a human base as if it is nothing, we cannot speak of it.” Skife said quietly. “Ah but you are right Skife, however the humans have no power in comparison to ours, accept that Spike Irroshi he could cause problems.” Vimdrag Said. “How can that burning twig cause us any harm he is weaker then Russell, all he can do is spit fire ‘tis a pathetic power.” Skife said snickering. “You forget that my blood is of Cisroi and Lefite mix breed, I sense deep wells of power inside of him, and he is a God among creatures.” Vimdrag said. “Pray tell Vimdrag, this is interesting and disturbing news.” Mectia said. “I sense others then his own soul and energies, he is a creature of light, but a container of darkness, when he was training with no shirt to cover himself I saw marks of demon seals” He breathed deeply “He is of the prophecies, the anti-harvest, he will burn down our chances of making the harvest like a blazing fire through a field of dry wheat.” He said finishing up Russell’s armor. For a while the three Lefites stood in silence finished with the armor Skife asked more about me. “So if that twig is so powerful why hasn’t he annihilated the Surgers?” Skife asked. “His power over the energy within him is a very wild power, if he uses too much at once, he could destroy every living things in the galaxy, or even further” He sighed “But when the time comes he will control it past the breaking point and do whatever it takes to protect those he cares for, it is undeniable that the harvest is near impossible.” Vimdrag said worryingly. “We must not spread word of this among the others, and the harvest may never take place, but we must also make sure the Surgers are killed.” Mectia said.
Back in the ruins of the city Vrunfa the Death Fox had sniffed out Spike and the others, he had the Black Hawk taken down during the fight. “Go my pets and find those fools, rip their heads clean off and leave not one of them alive.” Vrunfa barked his orders out. Smerix Surgers were the only he wished to be under his control; they were more like infested black wolves with razor teeth and extreme speed then a normal Surger that was nothing like any creature on earth. “Death be to ye Spike Irroshi, your breed of man is of the last powers, and my pets cannot scratch you without my own powers.” Vrunfa said. He is sly and a Surger with a brain, some say he would prefer abiding with the humans then living with uncivilized Surgers. “The beast cannot be tamed Vrunfa, but he can be loyal and civilized as human.” I said aloud. “What are you talking about Spike?” Mole asked. “Nothing of matter ignore what I say.” I Responded. Although we were not doing such, it was as if Vrunfa and I were communicating, we knew what the other was thinking. “Your kind is of civilized beings, peace is not your way but your way is easier then that of peaceful universes.” Vrunfa said sending a roar across the city. “Call off your beasts oh mighty fox for I wish not to be your enemy, you are a creature of civilized behavior take your chance and come with me with no hesitation and you will not regret your actions.” I said in a lower voice. Chris cocked his rifle. “Ok what is going on here, don’t even try to tell me you don’t know!” Chris yelled pointing the gun at me. “Put that thing down or ill do what I did to Sarah to you, but you won’t be so lucky.” I said. He growled and lowered his weapon. “If thee wishes for an enemy at your side, then let us fight and if you win I shall join your cause.” Vrunfa said walking around the corner behind us. “Very well my old friend, let us decide this in a battle in an honorable way.” I said. “Honor is all I have, I shall use it well if I win you shall all be set free to fight another day.” He said. “Then let’s have at it then, let us fight and see who the true sly fox is!” I said. We both flew at each other with the clash of Demi-Metal and Priton screeching through the city, the battle lasted for hours. Before the dust settled and Vrunfa had to give in but was in no bad mood, for he cared not for the other Ancients.
“The Communication system is down, we can’t call for any extra crew we have to finish the gun on our own.” Russell said. The security system on the weapon had not fired upon the crew as they came into its view. “We should try a test shot on that area where they said there was a nest.” Shawn said. “We can’t risk hitting Spike and the others who were sent to destroy it, but we can fire a test shot on low power on the ship to get some revenge.” Jen said. Shawn shrugged and said “sounds good to me as long as something blows up.” But before they could do anything the guns navigation system sent it flying to the planet. “This is bad; we have to destroy it before it crashes or half the planet could go with it.” Russell said. “Yes, we must even if it means dying” Jen sighed “we can’t let ourselves live and just let half the planet go to nothing!” Jen yelled a little over exited. “Shawn you plant charges on the core, Jen you set up a net of non-radioactive shells around, I will stay with the gun and make sure all the charges go off.” Russell said. “We cant let you do that, and besides if we cant get communications going its worse then dying in a giant explosion.” Jen said. “Fine, then we first must set the charges and try to hack the system and change the course of the ship but if that doesn’t work you must leave!” Russell said hurrying into the computer room. “Russ ill do the hacking, I want you to check on the wiring and rewire anything that could be wrong.” Shawn said. “I’ll stay with you and watch the other computer; I know how to do some things on computers.” Jen said. Nobody is quite sure what happened to them after the stopped the gun, other then a Surger ship picked them up but it wasn’t in one piece for long. We can only hope they got out safely.
In the days before my clan was cursed as being forever guardians of the earth, we were not much more then a small village that hunted creatures and protected the small land around us. Recently I have been dreaming of that event of when the Demi-metal god, the strongest of the mountain demons gave me the powers I have as well as the other clan members. I have not returned to the land where it happened in over five thousand years, but he seems to be urging me to come there. “Well Mectia how’s that armor coming along?” I asked. “It is finished Spike.” He said. “Ah, good I think ill take it for a test run.” I said grinning. “Very well, I shall retrieve it.” He said walking away. A few minutes later he came out, it was a very thin but dense armor I could sense the Demi-metal in it. I slipped it on and said “Comfortable, good job it’s a fine piece of work I will tell you what I think of it in the field when I come back.” I said walking away. “My friends and I alike would like to hear your reports.” He said bowing his head a little as I walked away. When I got to the spot where it all began, everything grew back to the state it was in before, when I met the creature. He lifted out of the ground and looking at me he said “It has been many years child, you have become very strong in your control and the demons” He inspected me closer “Your suit is of Blood Demi-metal a strong light substance, you have used the metals well.” We stood there for a while then I asked “What is it that you have called me back to this land for?” I sat down waiting for an answer or some power to show me. “I have called you to help you spread your wings, although it may cause the death dark warp this world will be safe once it is all over.” He said. My back felt like it was burning as I felt adrenalin running through my veins. “You have enough control, this is not going to release any demons but you must concentrate.” He said. “I can see that, now hurry it up!” I yelled at him. Holes opened up in the back of my armor as blood red angel like wings came out of my back and I felt my power more then double. “I can fight by your side child, but I am old and was never of great speed, if I am to die you shall become the eternal holder of the Demi-metals.” He said. I stood there panting for a couple minutes but I managed to think of what to say “No you are a god of great power, although you have not the speed to use it you have given me these powers to protect this world and yourself, do not fight with me I shall be fine.”
Sarah was left in her won room despite the happening in the city, as she woke up she took her time thinking of where she was. When she stood up and Vrunfa was there she jumped back and nearly tripped over her bed. “Do not worry human, I am sick of the uncivilized Surger race I am an ally they told me to watch you and have you go to Spikes room, he wishes to speak with you.” Vrunfa said then he stood up and walked out of the room. “What the hell?” Sarah said after the confusing event. She got dressed and found my room but I wasn’t there so she went in and sat waiting. In about an hour I came back from my trip, wings no longer pulled out. “What took you moron?” She asked. “None of your business, now let’s get down to things.” I said. “I can sense the new power Spike, now tell me.” She demanded. “Later, for now I must know anything you know about the Surger’s nesting areas, and before you tell anything to the Lefites know that they are not allies they are here for what they call ‘The Harvest’.” I said. “I never did like aliens, but to the point, there are 10 main nests the one you saw in the city is the largest that is why they sent so much at you to protect it.” She said. “Well that’s good to know, but with this new power and more control over Demi-metal along with this armor, it should be no problem at all.” I said. “Yes the Lefites made armor for Russ and Me as well, but Russ may never wear his, I shall assist you in destroying the nests with whatever I can do.” She said clenching her fist and almost crying. “What happened to Russ, I know you two were such close friends and if you know what happened up there tell me.” I said. “The Surgers have more humans on their side, they hacked into the guns navigation and Russ and the crew were forced to try to override the course change towards earth during that time a ship picked them up.” She said then she jumped on me and started crying a fountain of tears. “They must have been the ones to destroy that egg ship; I’ll make sure that vengeance is served.” I said. “Let’s not bother with that for now” she wiped the years from her face “The Xionxe clan is grouping for a battle, they will send in their and you send in yours, if you win, they join us, if they win they will join the Surgers.” She said. “Well then it should be no problem for me to take them down, a mix blood with the demons I have, as well as the new powers from the mountain demon.” I said.
Two weeks later we found out it was not just one battle, but a tournament, no one is to kill anyone accept for the best verse the best is a choice of saving or killing. Of course we dominated, but the Xionxe had tough warriors, though I only used one demon to fight him I let him live. At the end of the tournament an entire new army of Surgers and Lefites that were of a different blood line then Mectia came to earth and made the war worse then before, everyone was worried this war had no end even I became worried that unless I used my power and this death dark warp was opened it would be all for nothing.
