OMG!!! Ha! I am so very, very happy! *squeals* blaugh

Okay, to start from the begining...

I had Percussion Ensemble last night and AJ asked me if I would like to go with him to see Wicked at the Hipodrome in Baltimore. I said yes and I was willing to drive. I was so happy that he has asked me. We never get to hang out. Plus, it was Wicked, which I have seen twice before and was more than happy to see it again. I had worked out all the details of my evening so I wouldn't have to worry too much about times and such. After I was dressed for the show and getting ready to leave for Percussion Ensemble, my mom checked the weather (they were expecting about 2 inches of snow and lots of ice), and she wasn't too wild about me driving in that sort of weather. Of course, neither was I, especially since I would be driving in Baltimore, which I have never done before, so....

Anyway, I called AJ to let him know that I wouldn't be able to go with him. I would have loved to have gone, but I've seen the show twice, and I don't really need to see it again. However, if it were the Lion King, then "Hell yeah!" I would have still gone. lol Anyway... To get to the real part of the story:

My mom then decided to go with me to Percussion Ensemble. Just to make her feel a little better about me driving out in the bad weather. Rehearsal didn't last for very long, since Theresa had some stuff to take care of before the opera rehearsal that night. So, when we finished, my mom asked me if I would mind making a quick stop at Borders on the way home. Now, this is me we're talking about here. I love my books. Without them, the little sanity I do possess would have disappeared long ago. So, of course I didn't mind! lol

So, we made a detour to the Borders on the way home, and I managed to restrict myself to two books (which is like, a miracle for me). One was "Nocturnes", a compilation of short stories by John Connolly (who I have heard is a really good author). It looked interesting enough. The other was a book I had been searching for months to find. It was a Doctor Who novel with the Tenth Doctor and Rose. It's called "The Stone Rose" by Jacqueline Rayner. And it looks really good. They had a bunch of the Doctor Who novels, but, again, I somehow managed to restrain myself.

Now, as if finally finding some Doctor Who novels wasn't already enough to make me squeal with delight, my mother, being the kind and wonderful person that she is, noticed that they had the new Doctor Who series out on display and offered to buy it! Just how awesome could this women possibly get!? I mean, as if she isn't one the most amazing women in all the world (which, I could literally write an entire novel describing just how awesome she is and why), she goes and does that! After letting me think for months (it just came out on the 16th on January, and I knew about it back in September) that I was going to have to save up the money to get it, she goes and offers to buy it for me, along with my two books! OMG!! I love my mom! She is so totally the greatest! xd

So, now, I am in heaven. I have a Doctor Who novel that takes the Doctor and Rose to ancient Rome, I have a books of short stories involving magic and other fantastical things, and I have the new Doctor Who Series! I'm surprised I'm not on the floor going in epileptic shock! sweatdrop

Oh yeah, I am so very very very very very very happy! 4laugh Words cannot describe the awesomeness that I am feeling. It is, as the Doctor would say, "Fantastic!" mrgreen
