Whatever I feel like, story ideas, phrases I like, fleeting thoughts. Rants and Raves.
ANGER!
I haven't written very much in here. Life gets busy. I work until 6:30 or 7 almost every weeknight and I want to veg when I am at home. (Yes, that means that the work I bring home doesn't get done.) I am devestated right now by how our district handled a cheating scandle in our school. We have about twenty 8th graders who got the answers to our Social Studies 6 week assessment and cheated. They have admitted it, with written statements. I am on the faculty council for the National Junior Honor Society, and several of these students were members. The council decided to put these kids on probation, strip them of their officers positions, and that is all. (we wanted to kick them out, honor society and all, but were overrulled on that.) One of the little girls called her mother, crying, and her father was ready to fly in from Houston to tear the school a new one. They called our Superintendent, who recinded all punishment. All this says is that if you have money, you can buy anything. These parents didn't care about their children, they cared about how they would look to their friends.
This reminds me of when the coach in Palestine suspended football players for poor grades. Other football players walked out and he also suspended them. The school board reinstated all plalyers. The coach quit. I applaud that man for his convictions. I am proud that my school tried to do something to teach these kids that cheating is wrong. My principle is an awsome lady, and the NJHS sponsor is tremendous. I LIKE my superintendent, and hope he was not fully informed as I am disappointed in his decision.
Now I have to make three or more diffferent versions of my ________ test so that it will cut down on the possibility of these same kids cheating. With crowded classrooms and desks close together, there is little else I can do.
Too bad those parents loved themselves more than their children, now their children have been taught the wrong message, and who knows how this will influence them.
So if you live in ______ (name edited to keep the assholes from suing me.) and your going to do wrong, you better have money or power. (and hey, play football. A lot of those same kids are athletes)

It's a shame that money buys just about anything these days. Don't these so called concerned parents realize that they are doing a great injustice to their kids buy giving them anything they want including bad judgement. crying

Those kids will never learn if their damn parents always cushion their fall.

*shakes my head in disgust*

It's so much easier to compete for jobs with people that didn't deserve to make it, though! Think of the bright side...They're giving others who strive a chance to do better than them...

Maybe not immediately, but EVENTUALLY, that laziness WILL catch up to them.

Trust me...I'm a high-school dropout.
