Every time there was a thunderstorm, Alfons had the peculiar habit of counting out loud to himself between the lightning and the sound of the thunder to determine the distance the storm was from their home, and Edward would always fuss about the nonsense of it all, but after returning to Munich with his brother in tow, Edward would cease whatever it was that he was doing to look out the window and baffle his brother when he would say, "One... two... three..."
