Aww, man.
Winter break is over for me and now school is to begin again.
I've been busy with after-break refreshments for my brain.
AKA: Homework.
Wonderful stuff.
My social studies teacher strongly believes in homework
and that it recaps all that we did in class that day
so we don't forget and it goes to our 'long term memory.'
Studies show that you have to be exposed to information
about SIX times before is is properly memorized
and can be used again and again.
In about a month, a TCAP essay writing test will be held
and we are to write a five paragraph essay
in twenty five minutes
For me, it take about an hour of thinking
and an hour of writing
to write a really good essay.
especially 'expository essays'
And, naturally and expectedly, the language arts teachers are freaking out
and want us to recieve a good grade.
by, of course, making us write till
our elbows are burning
and our hands are hurting
and our brains are dying.
