Antioch's 2007 n** violations and my view of it
as of January 2006 guess what is "illegal" in Antioch due to the Neighborhood Improvement Program (n**)

+ Having Trailers, Campers, Boats, etc.visible from the street.
(My view: I think thats just retarded, it hasn't bothered anyone before till now, people are a bunch of whiners"OMG THIS BOAT IS MAKING ME JEALOUS THAT I DON'T HAVE ONE, BOO HOO" shut up)

+Overgrown, unmaintained vegitation (for teh people who don't know what that means overgrown lawns)
(My view: ok thats just stupid, what happenes if your gone for a month or don't have the time or money to keep it neat and tidy people are SO STUPID! its our property we can do whatever we want with it, we own it, we can keep our christmas lights up till its SEPTEMBER FOR ALL WE CARE

+Abandoned, wrecked, inoperative Vehicles
(My view: ok thats just odd, if its in your driveway, people shouldn't give a damn, but now it looks like it does, what a bunch of whiners)

+Garbage/Recycle Bins Visible From the public Street(in other words if its out on days that the garbage man isn't going to get it, you are violating)
(My View: this is just to stupid for words, it just has to be visible from the street for you to get fined and whatsoever, it can't be on the side of your house, it has to be in your backyard.)

here is the legal notice:
In response to comments received during Community Forums, Council Meetings and public surveys, Council has identified the most common Municipal Code violations that currently exist within the City’s residential areas. The information received from public input indicated the communities desire to place the greatest emphasizes on abandoned, wrecked and inoperative vehicles; overgrown weeds and unmaintained landscape areas; trailers, boats, campers, and motorhomes stored in any yard for an unreasonable time; and garbage and recycle containers visible from the street.

Beginning in January 2007, n** staff will begin conducting neighborhood surveys throughout our community to identify properties that have one or more of these violations. The owners of these properties will receive notification from n** staff addressing all observed violations that fall within these specific Municipal Code categories and then given an opportunity to voluntarily correct them. Property owners who fail to comply with the initial notifications will be subject to further actions including significant penalties and/or legal action.

The City Council looks forward to working with all residents within the community and appreciates your efforts in joining the n** staff in helping to make our community a place in which we all want to live, work and play. n** Hotline: (925) 779-6167
(www.AntiochNIP.com)

if you get the postcard in the mail about it, it says that you can snitch on other people who are violating, I'm sorry but for those people who do that have no life.
