Well, this is an update for those who are curious sweatdrop
About my community service issue, I called the Red Cross again the next day and they told me they had no openings for me to work in........Of course I was mad, but they suggested Food Share to me, where they always take volenteers.
So I called food share, and left yet another message, and they actually called me back eek Well, they couldn't help me with all of my 10 hours I had to do, but they could let me do 6 hours there.
The first 3 hours were on Friday, where I packed the good food and threw out the food that was passed it's expiration date. When they say "throw away" , what they really mean is give the bad food away to pig farmers, because pigs will eat just about anything and everything, even if it's passed its expiration date and all moldy (it's true people, pigs are disgusting animals). So that was fun for me, they even told me that if I wanted any food, I could take it. I like them 4laugh
As for Saturday, that was incredibly boring. I did something completely different, separating different foods. My food groups: cereal bars, ramen/cup of noodles, cookies, and crackers. We stood by a convayer belt and waited for the food to come to us. 3 hours of just standing around, not my thing neutral . You have no idea how boring it really is, and I was stiff legged afterward too.....At least I got my 3 hours out of the way.
And now for the remaining 4 hours.....my grandmother's best friend is dieing of multiple malignant tumors, and though I do feel guilty taking advantage of this situation, I'm going to ask that some of the hours I was there helping out with her care be written down as part of my hours.......I hope my teacher accepts that.

how the teacher could say that helping in that case would not count.
Yup pigs are sick little creatons...and to think we eat them.
