Let me see. How to get out of this?
Maybe you can help me. You know the situation, don't you? Where you have approximately two strands of tinsel wrapped about your ankles, elbows, and one side of your head, christmas lights flashing on and off enough times around your torso that you're blind now, and glass ornaments at your feet that one step could break?
Crunch. =o Whoops.
"Won't someone help MEEEEE?!?" I wail. I don't want to be confined in a jail of lights and tinsel for the rest of my life! Dx
Several pairs of hands shoot out, and in a second, I feel almost...naked. o.o
The decorations are gone! C: I dance a bit, about to thank my heroes, when I realize they only grabbed the stuff because it was shiny and looked better on the tree.
-_-; Thanks, guys.
But I haven't told you what the tree looks like yet. About 22 feet tall, 5 feet in diameter at the base...yeah, that kind of tree. We've got ladders and everything.
As such, this'll take a lot of decorating. We've got the left side decorated. =S Reaching into the tub of ornaments, my groping hand finds a plastic bag. I pull it out, and my eyes light up.
Confetti. >D
"Hey, yunsi," I whisper as I sidle up to where she and Sar are playing tug-of-war with the lights.
"Whaaaat?" She looks rather murderous, I think. I inch away a bit.
"Confetti?"
She stops abruptly, and Sar flies across the room at the sudden loss of resistance. I ignore the rather loud, vulgar explosions at the other side of the room as she lands in the pile of ornaments Des, Adri, and YYugi have been trying to sort out. Instead, I'm occupied with trying to get yunsi away from the confetti.
"Ahhh..." I back away.
"CONFETTI. CONFETTI." It's kinda scary.
"Here." I throw a handful into the air, hoping to distract her. She stares up at the glittery pieces falling down, then tackles me into a pile of fake snow.
"Oof!"
"Glitter-stuff!" She cries out, wrestling it from my hands. In the next moment, the stuff is all over the tree.
Ah, well that job's done, at the least. I walk over to Fae.
"Hey."
She gives me a distracted gesture as she twists her head one way, then the other. What is she looking at? =S
"Hey, do you think the star's crooked?"
Oh, that. That's a star? o.0 "Most definitely crooked."
"Darn," she mutters, climbing up a ladder rather precariously. Reaching the top, she turns the star, then yells down at me, "Now is it okay?"
"Erm..no!" I call back. "Other way, Fae."
Ah-ha. Much more like it. I give her the thumbs up, and she prepares to climb down, only to lose her balance.
Uh-oh. I don't like this. D=
Her flailing arms crash into the top of the tree, and the star spins about. Fae topples over, and suddenly, it's quiet. Then...
"FAE!!!" many voices clamor. It's a hubbub as we all knock into each other, trying to catch her. As it happens, all of our hand-eye coordination is hampered by everyone else's and she crashes to the floor.
"Is the star straight now, Snow?" She asks dazedly.
"Yeah, sure," I say, looking at the definitely not straight star. Oh well.

Tear. Rip. Fold. Cut. Tape.
It's gift-wrapping time!
Of course, that's not what we call it. After all, when the paper-covered gifts under the tree end up looking like a recycling bin, it's not quite the same.
"Eww...sticky." I look at Sar. Amazingly, she's trying to cover a gift with clear plastic wrap and glue. "How come it's not hiding?"
Nerfe walks over, Yunsi close behind. They poke, then grimace. "Ahh, Sar? Don't use plastic wrap. Or glue. Use this."
Yunsi throws her a roll of tape and a roll of wrapping paper, and a knife sails through the air, courtesy of Nerfe. It bonks Sar on the head, handle first.
"Guh." x.x
Adri cracks up, followed by Yunsi, Des, Fae, YYugi, then Nerfe. And, of course, me. C:
"Pin the tail on the monkey-butt!"
Sar frowns, then starts sawing at the wrapping paper. Hmm, that might take awhile. After all, if you're using the wrong side of the knife...
Meanwhile, I tie my own gift together with multitudes of ribbon. It's what happens when you can't get a hand on the single tape roll in the whole of LO. It's just that every time I tie a knot, another one falls apart.
Maybe I'll still be here, tying gifts, when Santa comes. Dx

Author's Notes:
Preparing for Christmas. Not as hectic as it should've been, though.
I hope to get another long Christmas entry up, like the Thanksgiving one. I'll aim for the upcoming weekend. C: It should include Christmas carols, and stockings, and trying to fly. Like reindeer, I suppose. The roof's high enough for danger. xD
