i saw a thread on this and i wanna try it, lol so i'm saving it in here




Just because I've gotten so many pms asking where to beging if they want to try special f/x or horror makeup, regarding this thread, and this thread, I thought I'd post a super easy way to start trying for anyone else interested:

heres a cheap and easy way to start trying...

go to the super market and pick up a box of knox geletine and a small bottle of glycerine
super cheap
mix one pouch of knox with 3 tablespoons of boiling water
when its disolved, add one tablespoon of glycerine and mix.

now use a popsicle stick or whatever else and spread it on the skin in thin layers. for a cut, do two parallel lines, with the outside edges smooth to the skin and the inner edges all jagged (as that part is the cut)
when the geletine starts getting thick, add some chunks in the middle for texture.. if it gets too solid, microwave it for 10 seconds.

paint it up with foundation, black eyeliner (deep cuts are dark in the middle), and fake blood (or white corn syrup+red and green food dye)

Super cheap and a GREAT way to start.
