Now, if anyone reading this looks into the recent events going on in Gaia, they would know that the Administrators are holding an Art Contest from December 11th to December 27th. All the artists of Gaia competing for the Grand Prize of either Angelic Mini Wings or Nightmare Mini Wings, a Second Place Prize of an OMG Hat or an AFK Hat, and a Runner Up Prize of either a Kiki Kitty Plushie or a CoCo Kitty Plushie. Big prizes for a site-wide competition and a lot of people are already sending in entries to participate.
Well, I'm entering. 3nodding I've said multiple times before that I have little to no artistic talent and that people would rather pay me not to draw, then to draw.
However, I think I know why all my art normally sucks: I have no inspiration. Every other time I did something awesome, I had some kick-a** inspiration to back it. This art contest and the grand prize just may have been that inspiration...though I'm iffy on my own motives.
Anyway, I'm going to keep track of my progress via this journal entry so that you all know what I'm doing to publish the picture I will be presenting for my entry. Hope you all enjoy my finished product and support it.
Current Status:
Past Status:
Stage Eight - Post the image
Stage Seven - Host the image
Stage Six - Upload the colored copy
Stage Five - Color Photocopy
Stage Four - Photocopy to preserve original
Stage Three - Retracing onto scanner/copier friendly paper
Stage Two - Preliminary sketching
Stage One - Foundation of idea
Additional Notes:
- Finally, after working all day on it, I was finally able to upload my entry into the GaiaOnline Zurg Art Contest. 3nodding
- Stages Four to Six were brutally hard to accomplish. Our scanner was not working properly and most of the work I did was setting it up properly. Coloring wasn't that bad. Got to use the colored pencils my little sister never uses.
- During Stage Three, I opted to add my CoCo Kitty Plushie into the picture, though decided against it, because the additional item would make the image appear too crowded.
