I am learning Japanese right now. It's like by a CD, so it's hard because I can't see how things are spelt, but at least Kako-chan can help me with that. Here is what I leanred so far, ((please ignore the spelling if I make any mistakes, like I said, I hear it but don't see the spelling.))

Good afternoon/hello: konnichi wa
Good evening: konban wa
Good night: oyasumi nasai
Please/go ahead: osakini dozou
Thanks: arigato
Sorry: gomen/sumimasuen
How are you: Ogenki desu ka
Me name is: watashi wa ((insert name)) desu
What's your name: Onamae wa desu ka?
Let things go well between us: yoroshiku onigaishimasu ((I am not sure with this one, oh well))
Good job: yoku dekimashta
Response to how are you: hai, genki desu

good luck japanese is one of the hardest languages to learn gonk so many characters than even the kids in japan have to carry around dictionaries xp

that's sad isn't it? I think the lanuage is fairly easy, so far, it just calls for a lot of catching on.
