Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We had both sons, older son's fiancee and one of their friends eating turkey and the fixings with us. And as many of you, we have lots of leftovers. I'm hopeful, with two college sons, that the leftovers won't last long. I'm a pretty good cook but, compared to college cafeteria food, I'm a master chef! blaugh
Pottery sales are very slow... surprisingly. I'm supposed to renew my booth space on December 1 for another 6 months. I put some my Christmas ornaments on the shelf earlier this week. Maybe with the beginning of the holiday period, the Christmas music playing on the radio, and all the stores blitzing the TV and newspaper ads, people will start buying again. confused
I've been at the school a lot this month. Last week I was teaching students in the two 3-D art classes about wheel thrown pottery. These were 11th and 12th students and they seemed to have fun. Three or four of them were naturals on the wheel and threw some nice pieces. In between classes, I threw some small bowls, a vase and three mugs. I'm planning to run a bisque load in the kiln on Sunday or Monday. cool
Volleyball season has ended and now the basektball games have started. I'm working in the clock for these games as well. With my working so much at the school and Jim's business keeping him as busy as ever, the remodeling in the basement has been very slow. All the framing is finished and the insulation is up. The knotty white pine boards for the walls arrived a couple of weeks ago and they are beautiful. We've decided to use a clear sealant on them to preserve the color. We'll be back on the remodeling project when the boys return for Christmas. My mom has returned to Mexico and plans to stay until March. So there's no rush to finish the basement before Christmas. biggrin
My next project is getting the Christmas tree up before everyone leaves Sunday to go back to college. Tis the season! heart
