Just a little update...
First, the bad news - my son received polite rejections from both the Virginia Tech and Auburn Vet Schools. In all fairness and reality, these were not unexpected. Both of these schools had only at-large seats available. Virginia Tech had over 700 applications for their seats. Auburn had over 600 seats, but my son's application had made it down a pool of 250 applications before being rejected.
Now, the good news - he got an interview invitation to Tennessee, which is also for an at-large seat. No indication has given how many applicants were offered such interviews, but Tennessee did have many hundreds of students also vying for their at-large seats. The interview is on March 19 (during his spring break which means he doesn't miss any classes).
Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers for this interview and to be accepted to a vet school (University of Georgia, Tuskegee, Tennessee, and Oklahoma State are the remaining ones for him... listed in order of preference).
Thanks! biggrin heart
