Hello/konnichiwa/ohayo/konbanwa(which ever fits you best at this moment)
First I shall up-date on JAPANESE! Now I am in Japanese 2 so we are learning a bit more which is happy. About a month ago (maybe....not really sure) we started to learn some kanji, characters for all who don't know. We didn't really learn that many but I suppose it's better to start out small. If my teacher ever gets serious (I hope sometime in the near future) then it might get harder to keep them all straight. The kunyomi, or Japanese pronunciation, I can remember no problem, but when it comes to remembering the onyomi, or Chinese pronunciation-ish, it takes me a bit longer *sigh* thankfully, by the time the test came around I knew them. Recently in the class we just keep reviewing endings, WHICH ARE SOOOO EASY! There are some rather stupid people who just don't get it so I guess its necessary but come on, the rules are not that hard and if you pay attention and follow them you are set. Sure there is some tricky business about na and i adjectives but once you get past that....oh well, I just hope we go on to some more challenging things after we get past this.
For band everything has slowed down a bit since the marching season is over but every once in a while we still hold practices so that we can keep stuff fresh for London. I don't really mind them but when December comes around there will be a lot more. We even have a practice on the 27! I am not exactly thrilled about that one but I guess it can't be helped.
Third bit of news, I went to Youmacon again! Woot! It is only its second year but the con is growing, and what’s best is that is held in my city! No long drives or worrying about where to stay, it's right here! I went with some of my friends and met up with other so we formed quite a party. It was so much fun! When we were walking about I saw my cousin there and since she was going to be there all three days and most of us only one, she hung out with us. One event we could only see the beginning of because it was running late and we had to leave was Anime Hell. It had this one clip of a boy sitting on a log by a camp fire and this random roster walks up just clucking about. Then it walks up to the boy and whispers "I'm gonna kill you," and the boy runs about and screams. It was so random and funny at the time, now when I think about it, it is just stupid. Then again I think that was the point. There were so many amazing cosplayers there. One of my friend's friends, a senior, was there. He looked soooo hot. Yes, I know.... Unfortunately, we didn't see him that much, but every time he walked by one of my friends said "look, there's jing-a-ly." (He had pants with chains on them) She is so odd but I think I looked every time she said that. *sigh* I really wanted to go the yaoi panel but it was an 18+ even and sadly I didn't make the cut.... to cheer me up one of my friends told me to look at this video from the con on youtube called "Dirty Naruto Skit," it wasn't all that dirty but it was so funny. The cheering up part definitely worked.
This is a bit of sad news, I was planning a trip to Ohayocon with some of my friends but then my mom shot it down and said I couldn't go. And since my friend Tom and I were the major ones planning and getting people to go, me leaving dropped our numbers by more than one. So because of complications with everyone I am pretty sure the trip is canceled. We hope to go to another anime convention, but we need to wait for one to be close enough. From what we have heard there might be one in March and there is definitely one in May that we could get to. I suppose we shall figure everything out later.
A few weekends ago some of my friends got together and we had a Miyazaki movie marathon. For over 12 hours we watched his moves. For all of you who don't know, he is the one who made Spirited Away, Nausica, Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro (or just Totoro), Castle in the Sky, Howl's Moving Castle, etc. For all those who have seen Howl's Moving Castle you will probably find this really funny: while we were watching it most of the girls there decided that Howl was extremely hot and kept wishing he was real. They spazzed the entire movie, especially when he lost his towel when Sophie was carrying him upstairs.
Ok, for the moment I guess I am done. jaa ne
