I could talk about my life, but let's hear about something a tad more interesting.
The new Will Ferrel movie; Stranger than Fiction.
In my opinion, the commercials didn't do it justice.
This movie was BEYOND AWESOME.
It's the best movie I've seen since Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.
From the commercials it seems like it's just a funny and random comedy. But in truth it's a very deep story about a character from a story that's being written by a woman who kills every character in every story she writes. But this one is different for two reasons. One, because it's supposed to be her best piece of work ever. And two, because the character is real.
After he starts to realize there's a woman's voice following him everywhere, narrating his life, he tells a few people, who of course think he's crazy. Just goes to show you how simple-minded these meatbags that live on this blue and green rock are. So he goes to a psychiatrist who diagnoses him with schizophrenia. But his case is different because the voices he's hearing don't tell him what to do, they tell him what he's already done. The only advice she can offer besides prescribed drugs is going to see an author.
So he finds one and they go through a bunch of stuff, trying to figure out what kind of story he's in, and the author guy decides it's either a comedy or a tragedy. So the 'hero' of the story goes about his life trying to figure out whether it's a comedy or a tragedy. After awhile he figures out it's a tragedy, which means he has to die. Then he falls in love and decides maybe it's a comedy after all. But then he finds out about the woman who's really writing the story and goes to see her, and finds out she's already written his death. Or at least an outline of his death. It hasn't been typed yet, which means he doesn't need to die. But if she finishes the story, he will most definitely die.
Wow, I went into that a lot more than I wanted to. I hope I didn't give away too many spoilers. It's a really deep story, but it still has it's light-hearted funny moments.
The actors were great. The woman who played the narrator was the same woman who's playing Professor Trelawny in the Harry Potter movies (I know this thanks to Ellen Degeneres xd ) and she did an AMAZING job.
I just didn't like the actress they chose for the girlfriend. She was ugly. And she looked so much younger than Will D: It didn't work for me.
