Hey.....waz happenin'? NMH. Lol....just hangin' out. I need some gold so I'm on, and I figured I'd write about all that happened today, not that all that much did, but I got a special assignment at work and it was a lot of fun. We had this like Holiday festval today at work, and I got selected, or whatever, to take the pictures of the kiddies with santa. It was awesome. Well, it wasn't awesome, awesome would be an overstatement, my feet hurt and I ended up getting a splinter in my thumb while I was folding up the table we were using, but it was a whole lot better than bagging and it was cool seeing the kids with happy smiling faces, especially the 'wee' ones. Like the little babies who can't even talk and probably have no earthly clue who santa is, just dash towards the guy with the big red suit and white beard. We went through 4 rolls of film in like 3 hrs. We had a lot of kids. And then I had to stop the flood of kids standing in line to get their faces painted. Some kids waited almost a half hour. I wanted so bad to turn all those little buggers away after seven too, but no we had to screw around with our last nerve waitin' for the last kid to go through the line. But like I said, other than that, it was all good. I've always wanted to do it, sinse I like photography so much. It really was an honor. And everybody else was really happy to see me do it too. So, it was an experience. And I'd gladly do it again if they asked me. And the best was all the characters I had to work with. The guy who played santa claus I was really happy to work with. He's a good guy, and is just about the right size. Everyone actually thought that it was going to be the store manager that ended up doing it, but he had to walk around and greet the customers. I don't know, I don't think he could get into character anyway. He's more of a quiet guy....he's introverted and doesn't go into the robust jolly mode often. He could in a pinch, but the guy who did it was a better choice either way. It was funny. The suit was so bulky and heavy, I had to walk him around whenever he needed a break to make sure he didn't faint cause he was over heated. He was a trooper. And no one tried to pull his beard down! I was shocked. One or two kids did end up crying, but that's to be expected. There's nothing you can do about it. But man....my brother was one of those types that always liked to disprove the whole santa thing to younger kids. He actually did pull down a beard once. Never once had any bit of dignity. He's like the real life Bart Simpson.
