well you see..... im in the highest band and made district kinda hard to make............ not that hard but yes it takes work... Now my professor had told me that the kids in Region where kids who....... not to be mean.. but had no life and all they ever did was play their instruments.
Now i here thought he was exaggerating, well anyways i went up going to Region and saw Paco and DRew there. We 3 play bass clarinets and had made sitrict so ehre we all were. Now before we all start i listen to some of the kids play and relized that wow the teacher wasnt jokin people could play scales, music and everything in like 5 seconds tops!! SO i said to Paco and Drew were doomed cause only 8 out 11 make it.......1, 2 ,3 we 3 are out!
and whats funny is that yes none of us 3 made it so yeah.......... every1 thinks id be sad but im actually happy cause i realized how hard and how much people spend into it so i learned that i have to practiceharder to become better than them.... wel here i am happy to just have made it that far. Well to all you band geeks if you really love your instrument and want to be better than everyone else here some tips
1.- PRACTICE A LOT
2.- Take your intrument home if not everyday then every other day and especially on weekends
3.- Ask your professor or instructors to test you frequently and tell you how your doing and what you need to improve!
4.- Work on how nervous you are infront of people cause i only did bad cause i choked horribly!!!!
5.- Be prepared to know that there IS people better than you and you cant do anything about it but realize that you tried your hardest and leanred something from every experience
6.- This is super important! MAKE SURE YOU SIGN UP FOR PRIVATE LESSONS NO MATTER WHAT!( if you have very little money your intructors can work it out with you and make sure you have a chance of getting taught privatly and one on one so you can become a better player!
7.- I recommend having alife and doing everything you want but if you DEFINETLY will do anything to become the best....... then practive everyday for at least 1 hour and if you can for more then 3!
Well i hope these tips helped all you band geeks out there! Remember to rock on no matter what life brings ayt you! cause for those about to rock we all salute you and for those who alreadyrock we dont need to tell you anything cause everyone rocks and has their own way of triumph! dramallama
