The heart-shaped necklace
My necklace signifies love because it’s shaped in a heart. There is a ruby in the right side of the necklace which, in another way, means love so this necklace is a very important treasure to me. This precious pendant was given to me by my mother. It reminds me of my grandmother because she loved me very, much and whenever I wear the necklace it makes me sad. Sad, because I miss her so much. Wearing the pendant also makes me feel that she is very close to me. I believe it brings me good luck because she is looking out for me.
If I ever have a daughter I would tell her how important the necklace is to me and why I’m giving it to her. Jewellry is a gift but it can’t compare to the love it symbolizes and it is that love I will give my daughter.
