Welcome to Nothingland
Ecstacy Chapter One
NOTE: Read the post before this, that's the prologue, you wont understand this if you didn't read the prologue.

Es had matured alot. He didn't look very mature for his age of 14, but from when he was ten, to now, he had grown alot.
He still had a high voice, big eyes and an innocent face, but he was leaner and taller. He wasn't very tall, about 5'5'', which is tall for the average girl, but many boys at school were taller than that. He was a little feminin, but not overly feminin. He likes to dress in girlsih type clothes, ones with hearts and smiles on them. He wore long t shirts and he actually looked cute in them. He still was struggling in school, still had problems with ADHD, but he always smiled, he always acted happy. He still never fought back when people were hurting him or mean to him, so he wouldn't do it now.

She doesn't love me....
Thats what everyone told him. Whenever he talked about his mother everyone told him she didn't love him. Es didn't want to believe it, but he knew it was true. Why did she get pregnant? She told Es it was a mistake, and her family wouldn't let her get an abortion, no matter how much she wanted to. She was a bad parents, she hit Es when Es didn't do anything wrong, she hit Es when she was mad, she left Es alone for hours and sometimes days in the rat cage of a house. She never helped Es, never said she loved him.
Es buried his face in his arms and hugged his knees. He let the tears fall silently down his face.
He should have guess that this would happen. He should have known his mother would abandon him someday. Life wasn't fair. Es never did anything to her. He told her he loved her even though she hurt him. He justed wanted someone to love him.
Es knew she left him that morning. He never told Aoshi or Kore that his mother had been gone for a week and never came back. Es knew she wasn't dead. If she was dead the police would be at the house. No, she left him all alone, for the last time.
It started to rain softly. Es didn't know when it started, he was numb from sorrow. He had been crying for a long time though, just sitting in an old neighborhood, crying behind a run down building. She wasn't crying just for his mother, he was crying because his life was so horrible. He had only two friends, and he had a feeling Kore didn't like him. All the boys at school were mean to him, and no one stoped them, except for Aoshi. Aoshi protected Es no matter what, he even helped Es in school. Es had bad grades, he even failed once. Es wasn't atheltic either, he wasn't good at anything. He had no talent and no worth, just like everyone said. He could die and he wouldn't care, but then Aoshi would be lonley. Aoshi didn't have many friends either, and the people at school didn't like him. Aoshi also had a bad family, like Es. Aoshi was the only person Es cared about, everyone else hated Es, so Es couldn't love them.
Es was so absobed in his thoughts he didn't notice someone tap his shoulder. They did it a second time and then called his name softly. Es slowly lifted his head and looked at the person. It was Kore.
"What's wrong sweetie?" He asked softly.
Es didn't say anything, even if he wanted to he couldn't. His troat was dry and he couldn't think straight.
"You don't have to tell me." He said, "You're soaking wet though, why don't you come to my place to dry off?"
For Es' reply, he only nodded slowly. Kore toke his hand and helped Es up.
"Are you going to be okay?" Kore asked with concern in his voice. Es shook his head slowly and gazed at the ground, as if in a trance.
"It's okay, just dont think about it. You'll be fine, I promise." He said. His voice soothed Es. Kore helped Es walk as then went towards Kore's apartment.
Kore himself was drenched. His long brown hair was dark from wetness, his spiky bangs hung in his dark eyes. His shirt was soaked but his pants were fine because they were leather.
Kore looked over at Es, who was looking at the ground while he walked.
His mother....I am getting signals about his mother...
Kore was trying to gather infomation by signaling into Es' thoughts. This is a new technique he learned since trying to get into religion. Kore smirked without Es noticing. Es was open prey, and now Kore might be able to get rid of him once and for all.

Aoshi sat there, unable to move. What should he do? He had no idea where Es was, or what happened. Worrying was making his stomach hurt and it was making him feel hot.
He's okay...he's okay... Aoshi told himself. What could have happened to Es? No one would hurt him, Aoshi walked Es home and Es didn't leave the house after that. Aoshi even looked all around Es' house, nothing. Aoshi decided the only possible solution was that Menekko had taken Es somewhere. She never spent time with Es, but who knows? Maybe she was now. That didn't seem reasonable though, so Aoshi wasn't satisfied.
Aoshi got up and tried to think. He smelt pine trees and felt the cold rain. The forest was muddy now. Aoshi stared at the ground and tried to gather his thoughts. He went over a list of places Es could be. Es had promised that is someting bad happened they would meet there. Es never broke his promises. Aoshi thought really hard and finally he came to a reasonable solution.
"Kore..."

Es sat down on the sofa. He didn't bother getting dry. Kore wanted to know what happened, and Es wouldn't talk. He hadn't said a thing since they arrived at Kore's apartment. Kore had offered Es a drink and luckily Es agreed. Kore now searched the cabinet for something that might knock Es out. He found some disolvable pills that would do the trick. Kore alwys kept things like that, you'd never know when you would need something like that.
"Here Es, this will help." Kore said softly, handing Es the glass of water. Es slowly pulled it to his lips and toke a sip. It would take more than that for the pill to take effect.
"Feeling better?"
Es nodded slowly.
"Good." Kore said as Es toke another sip. Kore toke a seat across from Es on a small chair.
"T, thank you...." Es said, his hand shaking as he held the cup.
"Of course." Kore said calmly. He decided to take things easy so he wouldn't upset Es, "Must be cold to be sitting in the rain."
Es nodded and toke another sip. He was pretty thirsty, hadn't driken anything in hours.
"Isn't it fortunate that I found you?"
Again, Es nodded and toke a drink.
"Will you be willing to tell me what happend?" Kore asked softly.
"My mom..." Es said quietly.
"Your mother? Did something happen to her?"
Es looked up at Kore and narrowed his eyes,
"She left me..."
"That's sad. I can see why she left you though."
Es toke a drink. He than looked as if he was getting sleepy,
"Wh, why would you say....that?" Es asked as the pills started to take effect.
"Well Es, you're worthless."
"Oh." Es said like it was nothing. He siftled his gaze loftfully to the his right.
"You knew that already, didn't you?"
Es nodded, "Yes, I did. I knew I was worthless...the people...they...they say I am, so I must be...right?" He asked, sounding as if he was dozing off. He slumped lower on the couch. The pills were working fast, Kore was thankful he had some.
"Es, if you could die slow and painfully, how would you die?" Kore asked, leaning forward.
"Oh...I don't know..."
"Think really hard for me. Please." Kore said softly, getting up and sitting beside Es.
"I, I would...die slow...and painful, I would get hurt from a...knife...or get..hit on the head...bleed to d, death...slowly and p, painfully..."
"That sounds fun doesn't it Es?" Kore said slyly.
"May...maybe..."
"I think it will be. Your pain, my thrill."
He said, getting up. He looked around the house from something heavy. He spotted a vase and picked it. He stood beside Es.
"You're cute and all but I can't stand you. You already destroyed poor Aoshi." He said, as if killing Es was a bother to him. Kore smashed the vase against his head. Es flew off as couch and was pretty much knocked out instantly.
"Oh darnit, I broke the vase."

By now it was pouring. Aoshi sped through the streets. Any second he could trip but he didn't care. All he could think about was making sure Es was okay.
Normally Aoshi wouldn't mind if Kore was around Es, but not after what happened a few weeks ago
Aoshi and Kore had been talking, it was late after Es had went home.

"You're spending lots of time alone with Es. I am getting jealous." Kore had said.
"Why don't you spend time with him then? You never come along with us, so it's not really my fault."
"You could back off a little. You're not sharing him."
"Stop talking about him like he's a posession, he's a human, treat him like one." Aoshi had said defensivly.
"You're right, I am sorry." Kore said, not meaning it.
Aoshi was mad so he didn't think before he spoke,
"Besides, I didn't think you liked him."
"Well, he can be annoying and stupid at times. Aoshi," Kore said, turning to Aoshi, with sly eyes and a smirk on his face, "You're hiding something from me."
Aoshi looked at the ground and paused, "If you know what it is why are you asking?"
"You don't trust me." Kore said, looking serious now.
"I never said that..."
"I can just spend time with Es whenever I want to, I promise I won't do anything to hurt him."
"Why can't we all go?" Aoshi asked nervously.
"What makes you think you can decide for him? You're not his father. Like I said, you're not sharing."
"Stop it Kore." Aoshi said firmly.
Kore sighed, "I knew he was bad news Aoshi, he is hurting you."
"Hurting me? He's like a brother to me. He cares about me."
"He's turned you soft. You aren't the same as you used to be, I can tell."
"Being mean isn't always so great." Aoshi said narrowing his eyes.
"He needs to go." Kore said. Aoshi couldn't believe Kore. What had gotten into him?
"I don't want you and Es be anywhere alone." Aoshi said coldly and firmly.
"Aw, come on Aoshi, don't let that brat ruin our friendship."
"It's not him Kore, it's you."

Aoshi turned the cornor, only a few more feet until he reached Kore's apartment. He came to the building and tried running for the stairs, but he slipped. Aoshi swore and picked himself up. Now he was covered in mud, but he just headed for the stairs. He ran up two flights and almost tripped again. He swung open the door.
"Where is he!?" He demanded.
Kore lookuped up at the sad scene. Aoshi's clothes were covered in mud and he was drenched.
"Pardon?" Kore asked innocently. He was sitting in a chair near the sofa, he had a book in his hand.
"Don't play stupid! I know he's here!" Aoshi said, breathing heavily from running so hard.
"Stupid? When have I ever been stupid?" Kore asked. Aoshi swore,
"Don't give me that crap." He said. He walked into the room and spotted Es on the couch.
"What is he doing here? I thought I told you never to-"
"Calm down Aoshi. I found him out all alone in the rain, I didn't want him getting hurt so I toke him here to dry off." Kore said cooly.
Aoshi check Es for a pulse. It was very low. Kore rolled his eyes,
"I wouldn't kill him. Aoshi," Kore said as Aoshi started shaking Es, "he's sleeping."
"Oh god..." Aoshi said, Kore didn't quite know why. Aoshi sighed and leaned on the kitechen counter. The kitchen was open to the living room.
"How long has he been here?" Aoshi said, crossing his arms.
"An hour or so."
"When will he wake up?"
"Do you really think I would know."
Aoshi groaned and started pacing around the kitchen,
"You should have called! Why didn't you? Why wasn't Es at our meeting spot? Is he okay? What happend? Why aren't you answering m-" He stoped. Kore looked at him. Aoshi slowly looked at his shoe and lifted it up. He squated down and picked up something off the floor. Kore couldn't see it. Aoshi exmained it for a long time.
"Kore, this is a peice of a vase."
"Why would a vase peice be in the kitchen? Perphapes it's part of tile." He cloaked his nervousness very well. Aoshi walked over to Es. Aoshi noticed his breathing seemed to be off. He ran his hand down from the top of Es' hair to the bottom. He pulled away and examined his own hand.
"I felt blood." Aoshi said, looking at Kore with cold eyes.
"He could have fallen before I found him."
"Bullcrap!" Aoshi said in anger. Kore shrugged.
Aoshi gentally shooke Es, then he shook hard.
"Es." He called a few times. Nothing worked.
"What did you do to him?"
"Nothing." Kore said defensivly.
Es stirred and both Aoshi and Kore looked at him.
"Es?" Aoshi said softly. Amazingly, Es' eyes slowly opened. Kore's eyes widened. That wasn't supposed to happen.
Es' half opened eyes slowly shifted from Aoshi, to Kore, to Aoshi and back to Kore. They stoped on Kore, and wided in fear.
"Please don't kill me!" He screamed. Es jumped up and immedienltly pulled his hand to his forehead. He head pounded so bad he wanted to cry. He closed his eyes tight to hide his tears and pain.
Aoshi looked at Kore, his eyes buring with anger.
"Having a bad dream Es?"
"Shut up!" Aoshi snapped at Kore. Aoshi looked over at Es, who was holding his head in pain. He pulled his hands in front of him and he screamed again. He had a bit of a girl's scream.
"Im, Im bleeding!" He cried.
"It's okay Es." Aoshi said in panic. He pulled Es into a hug to try and comfort him.
Es whimpered and put his hands to his head again. He really started to cry. He wished he hadn't woken up.
"He really wasn't supposed to wake up." Kore said.
"What did you do? Oh, you didn't hit him with the vase did you!?" Aoshi screamed at Kore, his eyes widened.
"Well, let's take a guess..."
"I have to get him medical attention..." Aoshi said breathlessly, and more to himself than Kore. Aoshi swore, "I'll deal with you later." He said to Kore. "Es, can you walk?" Aoshi asked softly.
Es nodded. Aoshi helped him up and out the door. Aoshi quickly looked back at Kore. He glared at him, "You'll pay." He said, right before slamming the door shut.

On the way to the clinic Aoshi kept asking Es questions like,
"How are you feeling?" "Are you still bleedig?" "Are you going to be okay?" When Aoshi asked if Es was going to be okay Es asked Aoshi the same question. Aoshi told Es that he would be okay. Es asked if his brain broke, Aoshi said it was fine. It was still raining and Es was only wearing a purple t-shirt and black jeans, so Aoshi gave his coat to Es. Es decided to use it to try and stop the bleeding. Aoshi could tell Es was about to faint again, but Aoshi had to keep him awake. Aoshi had to admit that he was scared. He was worryed about Es too much. Whenever Es got hurt Aoshi would loose his cool. Right now was serious, and Aoshi didn't want to think about Es being seriously hurt, but the chaces of Es being okay were slim.
Aoshi was carrying Es because Es was unable to walk, and Aoshi didn't want to go back home and get his car. He stopped at a bus stop and toke a a rest, just to catch his breath.
"Aoshi..." Es said weakly.
"Yes, Es?" He asked. He looked at Es, who was turning pale and even shaking a little. Aoshi felt a pain inside his heart, it was sympathy.
"If I...die, you can have my stuff..." He said.
"Don't think that. You won't die." Aoshi said, trying to hide the sorrow in his voice. He had to make Es believe he was right, he needed to sound assuring. Es believed Aoshi no matter what.
"If you say so..." Es said closing his eyes.

Kore wasn't planning on Aoshi comming. Kore also wasn't planning on Es waking up that early. He was mad at himself for not thinking ahead. This real plan was too show Es to Sabrina. Sabrina was a good friend of Kore's, Aoshi didn't know about her. She was the one who was leading Kore into some form of Wiccan religion. She was beautiful and wise, and luckily for Kore she attened his school. Kore knew that sometimes, in some religions, you would need a sacrifice. Es was so beautiful and innocent, he would be perfect. Kore would gain Sabrina's favor, brining him even closer to her.
Sabrina had just arrived, and she wasn't too happy that Kore had lost Es.
"He is with Aoshi."
"Ah, your cute friend? Wasn't he the one who is interested in our coven?" She asked. She traced the outlines of the table with finger as she walked past it.
"Yes. Aoshi had been thinking about it. I don't know now, that brat has caused so many problems."
"He sounds so annoying, but you're right, from what you told me he'd be perfect." She said, smiling at Kore. Kore smirked,
"Why don't you meet him in person? Aoshi would get quite upset if Es went missing."
"Well, Es is basically his only friend. It must be hard to know your family doesn't love you, and the kids at school think he is a freak. Es is the only person that accepted him."
"I accepted him."
"Is that why you don't like Es? He toke you're friend away?"
"I never said I didn't like him..." Kore said uneasyily.
"You like him but you want to kill him?" Sabrina asked, moving closer to Kore.
"Yes."
Sabrina leaned on Kore and closed her eyes,
"You're so complicated. I like that." Sabrina said with a smirk, "I'd love for us to see Essy together. I'd feel better if you were there, you're much wiser than I am."
"Wise enough to know you're flirting with me."
"Exactly. So, you set the date and the place and I'll be there."
"Aoshi might want to come."
"Let him come. I wont mind if he is as cute as you."
"If you think I'm cute you should see Es."
"Better make the date quick then."

The door to the general hospital flung open. It revealed Aoshi and Es, both soaking wet. Aoshi was panting and carrying Es in his arms. Blood stains ruined his shirt.
Everyone looked up at them with wide eyed stares.
"Oh my..." The front desk worker said uneasily. Aoshi ran in,
"Don't just stand there, get a doctor!"

Aoshi was nervous, he didn't want to admit it but he couldn't deny the aching feeling in his chest. He had tried his best to protect Es, from the kids at school and in real dangerous situations. He couldn't imagine losing Es. Es was more then his best friend, Es was like a brother to him. Aoshi never cared much about his real family, so having Es around made him feel better.
The doctor came out of the room and looked at Aoshi,
"I have a feeling you're not related."
"I'm just a friend. Is he okay?"
The young doctor sighed. Aoshi didn't have a good feeling about that.
"He's okay. No major artiers were damaged, there is no blood clot. It's pretty much a miracle from what he explained."
Aoshi looked up, "And just what did he say happened?"
The doctor raised an eyebrow, "He said he fell of his bike and hit a pole pretty hard." Then the doctor narrowed his eyes, "I don't beleive him though."
"I am not sure what happened, I saw him lying on the ground and I rushed here." Aoshi lied.
"Good thinking. He had a major blood loss. We did have trouble finding a match, he's type O, but other than that all he needs are stiches.
"Oh..." Aoshi said. Es hated needles, he had always been afriad of them, and he didn't take pain very well, nor did he like hospitals, "Well, thanks for the help. When will he be able to come home?"
"2-3 days."
"Okay." Aoshi said. He then remembered he needed to ask Es what happened to him and why he wasn't at the meeting place. First though, Aoshi needed to take care of Kore.
