I live to have you near me
But time has killed my right
Although I can not hold you
I'll kiss your cheek good-night.

You are my breath of life
The sun that cheers my day
The rain that brings me sorrow
And the night that clears my way

You're voice will be my heart beat
I'll find it hardly heard
And try so hard to answer
But never speak a word

My tears will be your laughter
And so, many I will shed
To keep your world from saddness
And your love from fallen dead

My every silent prayer
Will be written on your heart
For my words of love untold
Are few but far apart

So let time bring his winter
And let him bring his cold
For he can never take
My love so very bold

But if time becomes victorious
And I have loved in vain
My life will see the ending
And my heart will feel the pain

A foolish man once said,
"Absents makes a heart grow fonder"
But I believe as time elapse
The heart is temped to wonder
