"Nerissa, let's talk," I said, trying to look her display screen and hologram form in the eye at the same time while looking for hidden weapon crevaces in the ceiling, walls, or floor. There were some things about Nerissa I still didn't know. "I'm not a intruder."
"Then where is Captian Arcata and the rest of my crew?" the hologram asked.
"Dead," I replied. Realizing in horror what I said, I quickly added, "They've been dead for over five hundred years. Check the logs!"
"I don't believe you," Nerissa's hologram form said. "Initializing centralized gravity shipwide."
As I opened my mouth to speak, I suddenly fell to the floor as the gravity around me increased to a point where I could hardly breathe. Knowing that only the androids and the gwees could withstand the gravity forces--and only ANTIE-D and Nissa being the only two still being able to move--I struggled to say, "Nerissa! You'll kill the others! They aren't built to withstand this force!"
"And you are?" the display screen asked. The gravity pressing me to the floor increased a thousand-fold.
Reverting to my dragon form to avoid being crushed to death, I wheezed, "Check...con...stel..la...tions..."
Suddenly, the door to the bridge screamed metallicly as it was forced open. Nerissa said, "Release the gravity hold! No one on this ship is dangerous!"
For a second or two, the gravity's weight increased to the moment where blackspots danced in front of my eyes before lifting completely. Inhaling explosively, I coughed spasmatically as I transformed back into my chibi human form. "Nissa..."
"Take it easy," Nissa said, helping me into a sitting position. "Let me deal with my idiotic self."
"Thank Draco you've got it," I wheezed.
Mysterious Person PoV
"Initializing centralized gravity shipwide."
Cursing in my mind as I slammed to the floor, I realized that my EMP was too much of a costly mistake. I could only thank Draco I was born a dragon and not something else for the weight of the gravity would surely crush the others that arrived on the
Dragonfly.
Well...perhaps not the android or the gwees, I thought randomly.
Androids are very tough and gwees are, despite their evolving from lesser beings, dragons.After a minute or two, the gravity released and I climbed back to my feet. I had lost the android named Nissa but I did not think I was far from the bridge.
