IT WASN'T YOURS TO READ

You shouldn't have read it,
It wasn't yours to read,
It was mine,
And mine alone.

It was where I poured my heart out,
Thinking no one would read it,
But I guess I shouldn't have wrote that much,
Because look where we are now.

It is ironic,
That you should read it,
Seeing how you ignore me,
When I give you notes.

Those were mine to write,
And no ones to read,
They were mine alone,
In those poems I had let my feelings lead.

But in the end,
I guess I have no privacy anyway,
So here is my poem,
Which is actually to you.

Read it well,
Read it good,
Lie I could,
After all, it was because of you I fell.

So here it is,
Enjoy it while you can,
It is al the truth,
I hope you'll become a fan:

Everyday of our lives,
We watch the time go by,
We have no worries,
We have nothing to appease.

Every once in awhile,
Our hearts start to flutter,
When there is a cute guy,
In awe, people start to whisper.

When you came to school,
On that first day of 12th grade,
There were no whispers,
You were like everyone else.

But I saw something there,
And my heart started beating,
I thought you perfect,
But you didn't even care.

You would look at me with distain,
I hadn't even done anything,
I had no bad reputation to sustain,
Under your stare, however, I was crumbling.

Up 'til now I suffered,
I liked you,
Without you returning it,
My feelings tattered.

But now,
After my tears run dry,
I don't see any point,
To continue to try.

So goodbye now,
But before I leave,
You should know that I have loved few,
But, the truth, I do love you.
