So, recently I started back into some form of schooling for music. It's not much, but I'm taking Oboe and Saxophone lessons while playing in the local community college band for my Saxophone Professor. Well, the lessons are free on both ends because he REALLY wants me to get back into music and to do something with the talent he keeps yammering on about me having. So, I decided to do a little more with it and I started doing lessons at this Junior/Senior High School I attended in my youth, when it was still a middle school.

I've only taken on one student so far, but the band director wanted me to start coming every Tuesday and teaching her saxophone students all day. For my trouble, she's giving me $30 an hour.

Think about that number for a moment. Got it? Good.

Well, my shitty EB/GameStop job only pays about $11.30 an hour and I have to deal with far more nonsense and stress than a single person should physically and mentally be able to deal with. The reprecussions of this awesome turn of events is that I hate my EB job more and I want oh so deseperately to get back into the music business which I adore so much. The only problem is that Monica and I need my insurance coverage through EB in order to pay for all of the expenses with the baby. As such, I'm forced to keep working at the store until Hunter is born, or Monica can finally get someone to hire her and she can have her own insurance.

So, I'm going to talk to Mr. Bishop (Said Saxophone Professor) on Monday about a possible job with the county doing what I'm doing at the one school now. Maybe he can help me to earn a living and to still be a part of the music I love, while trying to work back to Stetson University sometime in the near future.

Until then, we'll have to hope things turn out for the best.

Oh! Also, I'm going to be starring in a friend's short film which is a sort of take on the story of Faust. Awesomely enough, I'll be playing the part of Mephistopholes.

Also, even though it's in Monica's journal, we found out we're having a boy. His name is Hunter Beane [Insert Last Name Here]. I'm stoked to have a son that I can raise to hopefully be nothing like me. whee heart
