Snuggle...and quiet.
==========
It's 4:00am. Dx I somehow manage to fall of the edge of the bed without a single bruise, and I rummage around for my laserpen before looking around for my clothes. Here's the wardrobe, and I think I hung my hairtie on top of the mirror...
ACK!!! My EYEBALLS!!!
I blink rapidly, hoping that I haven't gone blind from staring at a red beam pointed at me from the mirror. Don't ask me why I have this instead of a flashlight...I just can't ever seem to buy one. :C
Slowly, I sneak out into the hall. The only other person awake should be Adri, and Des, if he heads out with us to work again today. Peeking down the dimly lit corridor, I head off to the bathroom, wiggling my toes against the cold floor as I walk. I turn the corner, and--
BAM.
Guh. Who ran into me? Who was running? Why was who running? It's too early in the morning to be running!!! >.<
"Faeeeeee..."
There are dark circles under her eyes from staring at a computer screen too long working on her latest digital coloring project. Well, where her eyes are supposed to be, anyway. She doesn't see me. Instead, she walks ahead like a blind zombie. Ignoring her, I saunter over to the bathroom.
"Hey, Adri."
Even she looks tired. Bubbles froth from her mouth as she brushes her teeth, some of the lighter ones dancing around a bit before falling into the sink. Turning a bit to look at me, she continues to brush her teeth like a robot. I join her. Wow, it's kinda funny how staring at the mirror for awhile makes everything move around kinda funny.
=S
Some long, long, long while later, we both manage to dress and clean ourselves up. The sun's already up when we both slip out the front door. Des is already outside, toodling down the path in meandering wobbles.
I wonder how long it'll take to get to work?
"Should we go right?" I ask.
"Nah, left." Adri rubs one eye a little.
"No, you brainless idiots, we go straight," Des says. "The trainstation is directly before us. Why do you guys always have to walk in circles?" D:
"That doesn't make a circle. It makes, a, err...hyperbola." C:
"Hyperbola's don't connect."
"So?"
"Nevermind. It's too early for math, anyway."
>.> It always is.
We find that are feet are taking us to some direction...it seems like the right way. We walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk...
But we never see the trainstation. >.> <.<
"Do you think we went the wrong way?"
I squint up at the sun, now directly above us.
"Nah. We're probably just walking really slow."
"Really, really, really, really slow."
:3
"You know, I'm kinda thirsty."
"Same here."
"Maybe we should go look for some water?"
"Look, there's something here."
"It looks like a knob. Should we turn it?" Squeak.
Pfsssssh.
"Water," Des states.
It trickles in a small muddy stream, filtering into the sand beneath our feet.
"Icky water."
"Gross water."
"Not water. Mud."
"Maybe we should go the other direction?"
"Yeah. Let's go the other direction."
So we walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk...
"Hey, I see a building."
"The trainstation, maybe?"
"I don't think so. It doesn't have that wierd hump on it."
"Wierd hump?"
"Yeah, you know, the round thing?"
"No."
"Oh."
"Umm, hey guys? I don't think that this is the right place..."
"Of course it is. It's got to be. It just can't be anywhere else..."
*groan*
Standing in front of us is an all too familiar building. You know what it is, right? I'll give you several hints. It starts with L and ends with an O.
Yeah. We're back at LO headquarters.
"You think we should tell Fae someone robbed us again?" asks one of the three small silhouettes before the gates.
"Maybe we could tell her that we had holes in our pockets," another shadow suggests.
"Or that some bird attacked us and stole it all."
"Yeah, that's a good one. C'mon. The sun's gone, anyway."
Another failed day. DDDx
==========
My attempt at a plot. Meh.
I still have to incoporate you, YYugi. I was thinking about bringing you in when we get back to Barton Town. However, I need some suggestions for jobs for Adri, Des, and I. Help? C:
Well, yeah, a late update. I'll see about what I can do...
