Lost dreams,
Swimming shoreless seas,
Searching for some meaning,
Just clinging to something.
Not knowing where I rest,
Or where I am to go,
Don't know who I'll meet there,
Just swimming with the flow.
The tides creep in,
As memories wash out,
Mind erased slowly,
No turning back now.
But I wish things were,
So easy as then,
Loving you was simple,
But now it is a sin.
Treading steadily in water,
Too cold to even enjoy,
I lost my heart so long ago,
To some enchanted boy.
But like I said,
My past must fade,
Like shadows,
In the shade,
Easily said,
Not easily done.
Tomorrow now has,
No rising sun.
