OH!!! And I had a weird dream last night. 3nodding OMG, it was hilarious. xd
The first part was more interesting than funny, but anyway. There's this young, modern day princess living in an enchanted castle, and her name is Cinderella, but she isn't really The Cinderella. And so only some of the rooms in the enchanted castle are magical, while the rest are normal, and Cinderella was really curious about them.
So her father, The King, let her explore the rooms after giving her a few helpful tips. He wanted her to cover her eyes while she walked through certain magical rooms, so they wouldn't hurt her. Well, she's walking through their really really weird, creepy rooms, and someone's hand randomly comes out and tries to cover her eyes. She walks past and looks back, and she's sees a dark hallway, and realizes she just walked through one of the dangerous rooms and got lucky, with some help from the strange hand.
She walks through the rest of the rooms, more careful this time and covering her eyes, until she reaches the end and leaps happily into her father's arms. She's wanted to see the rooms and was satisfied, but she was quite happy to be back where she belonged.
Then she and the King go off to join in the fete that's going on. Cinderella goes and she meets with her mother and they act like too teenagers, getting excited and trying to decide what to wear. Then they both go off in opposite directions, thinking of what gown they want to wear.
They come back and find out they're both wearing the same thing, so they go back, both of them thinking "Black dress, slim black dress" and they come back wearing the same thing again. They go back one more time, both thinking "Peach/sherbert dress..." and when Cinderella gets to her room she's like "You know, I bet that's just the sort of thing Mom would wear, so I'm going to pick something different."
(Kudos to Cindy!) So Cinderella instead chooses a pair of bright orange shorts with crocheted white see-through capris and some strange shirt that I didn't see. Technically she didn't put one on at all, but she had one. xp
So she goes out, avoids blonde Prince Charming because she's a bit embarrassed by her outfit selection, and mingles. Some questionable character with a beard comes up to her and he politely says "Pardon me Your Highness, but I was just wondering what sort of gun that is in your shoe..."
She looks down and she has on these clear glass shoes with a black support inside that actually did vaguely resemble a gun, though it wasn't. She takes of her shoes and shows him his mistake and he again says politely "My apologies Your Highness. Now it seems I've made a questionable character of myself."
And he moves on, and Cinderella has to bend down to get her shoe (don't ask me why). Well, you know how Princesses can't just bend down or squat to pick things up, so she has to do this strange bending trick where she bends her knees and leans sideways to pick it up, except the floor is slippery and her feet are slick with panty hoes, so instead she ends up doing this funny twirling to keep her balance.
mrgreen I think I laughed in my sleep. She kept trying to grab that dark shoe and she just couldn't get it, but after a few more tries she succeeded.
The last part was weird because then she couldn't walk properly (maybe because she had one shoe?). The floor was suddenly too slick to walk on, and she's end up spinning slowly on one leg like a flamingo or something. She tried to walk, but after a moment she gave up and just spun across the room.
"Let's adjourn," she said, and she was tired sounding. She avoided a different Prince Charming this time (dark hair), and went into her room, and I woke up.
I was so totally amused by the dream. I had to go tell Dad right away, and it seems he had a vivid dream last night too, which he says is rare.
But I won't get into that.
