[letter #15]
To My Ever So Sleepy Friend:
Clumsy? Blundering? If it were up to me, I'd call you graceful. Even when you nearly lost that hat of yours to the wind, you still moved with grace. It's just you. But it's best not to bring up that incident again, I think.
Every person loves to be flattered every once in a while...you've complimented me more times than I can count. Thus, I must take the opportunity to compliment you. I find I don't have much of a taste for poetrt neither, but I can spout something pretty and endearing on a whim when my heart decides to do so. And don't worry about your names for me being offending, I like to think of them as endearing phrases.
Indeed, I do wear glasses, in response to your question. I find that I like to wear them, but it is a bother to get them dirty when the wind blows droplets of water on the lenses, or a speck of oil flies to stick on them. Thus, I only wear them when I am at work, typing away at tedious things. I've thought about wearing contacts, but they do seem very difficult. While I am not afraid to touch my eye, I've heard too many stories from friends who have had embarrassing mishaps over their contacts. My glasses are rimless; the skinny ones that you see all too often. I suppose that pretty soon, I'll only be able to read one line at a time with the rate glasses are shrinking. Some are skinnier than my second fattest pen.
I could never sleep with ticking clocks anywhere near my room. If the door is closed and it blocks out the sound, that is fine. However, having one in my room does much the same as it is doing for you. Not that it matters; there are so many digital clocks everywhere that it isn't hard to find one that suits my needs.
Thankfully, the caterpillars are gone. I'll not give you nitemares of horrid bugs. However, it seems that most of the tomato crop is gone. Usually, I have to give bags upon bags away, but this year, it doesn't seem like there are many at all to eat. The same goes for my apple tree, but the lemon tree in my backyard looks like its growing bunches of small green avacados.
Stay warm and sleep well!
Your Not Quite So Problematic Friend
[author's notes]
*yawns* What is there to say? It's 7:48 in the morning. >.> Too early to be writing about sleeping. However, I have marching later, so I can't update much later than noon. Ah, I still have five hours.
Holy crap, that seems short.
Shouldn't have pointed that out. But I'm looking forward to it. Talk to you all later, and I'll see if I can still keep the updates going.
