Man, the chapters are going fast. I still gotta work out he ending a bit more. So when all the things play out in this story, think of some good endings for me! I written more chapters, I just gotta type em’ up! Well enjoy. NO FLAMES!

Chapter 3 (2 continued)

“But first, why were you sitting on the porch in the middle of night like some dumbass?”
Ed’s jaw dropped, Roy just smiled and then bursted out laughing. Soon, Ed’s laugh was heard with Roy’s echoing in the night.
beginning of chapter 3
When Ed and Roy stopped laughing Roy sat down on the second step. Ed followed sitting right beside him.
“But really Ed, why are you sitting on the porch all alone?
“Look who’s talking! Heh heh But the reason I was sitting on this porch is,”he looked away, he was going red again, “is because of you. Once again you’ve given me another sleepless night. I can’t go to sleep without seeing your face. In my dreams, I can’t help but wonder if I’m crazy. This is so foreign to me. I’ve never felt this way, not even for Winry. And I mean we’re both guys, and its just too weird. I want to be with you, but I’m not sure.” Ed raised his hands over his eyes and rested his head in them. “Roy, I don’t know what to think about all this. What am I gonna say to Winry. I mean–“ Ed stopped, Roy had put his hand on his shoulder.
“Oh boy Ed. On my way home I stopped at the park. I realized something there, I realized that life can’t control who’s together and why. They just are, love is just that way. I’m not confused anymore, I know what I want. I want you, you’re my light. I can’t think of being with anyone else but you. I was confused earlier, and I’m sorry that I kinda “jumped” at you earlier today. But I did that cuz my feelings for you are strong. I don’t care that you’re a guy, all I care about is you.” Roy moved his arm around Ed, bringing him close.
This was so much for him to take in, he was struggling with his thoughts about Roy and trying to sort out the things he felt for him. But he knew, he knew that he wanted Roy. He knew in his heart that there was something special between them. But besides that, he needed some answers, and I’m sure Roy did too.
“But what about Winry. You know I am with her right now. She’s in my room sleeping, I just can’t leave her. What would I say, ‘oh yeah Winry, sorry. I’m in love with my superior officer so I’m going away with him. I’ve been dreaming about doing him for some time now, did I forget to mention that we’ve been secretly making out in offices and on my porch!’ Honestly, what kind of spazz am I!”
“You’re my spazz.”
“Shut up, I’m being serious, and there are things I still want to talk to you about. Your not off the hook yet!”
“Do you love her?”
“What?”
“Do you love Winry?”
“...no, sigh why is everything so complicated. She loves me, Roy I can’t just dump her with no explanation. This is hard for me, don’t you understand?”
“Of course I do, but she is not taking you away from me. No matter what. So I guess we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.”
“Yeah whatever, I’m too tired to think of all this s**t anyway”
Roy got up off the step, “Here come take a walk with me.” he held his hand out to Ed.
He got up off the step and grabbed his hand. He blushed a little when he did this.
He decided he was going to tell Roy he wanted to be with him. The feelings that he felt for Roy were something he couldn’t ignore. He liked a guy, that’s it. Ed looked at Roy’s hand who was still holding onto his own tightly. ‘sigh, this is what I want’ He was finally ok with the fact that he liked Roy, or he thought he was for the moment. He could deal with all the crap that was to come his way if moments like this would be what would come out of it all. They walked down the street in silence for a couple moments longer.
“Brrr I’m cold” Ed said with a shake from the cold. He didn’t have his shirt on.
“Well, that’s what you get when you walk around topless. Tsk tsk.” Roy said waving his finger in a shameful way.
Ed let go of his hand, “Well I wouldn’t be walking around topless if you hadn’t ripped my shirt off your horny b*****d!”
“Sigh, here you go you big baby,” Roy took his blue jacket off and wrapped it around Ed, “there better?”
“O-oh, thank-you.” he said softly as he pulled the jacket around him tighter. Roy just giggled. He grabbed his hand once more and led him down to the corner and up another street.
“Roy where are we going?”
“You’ll see”
They walked a little bit more and made another turn, Ed could now see where they were going. They were headed to the park. Roy led him through the entrance and down a path to a big Oak tree.
“Here, here’s a nice quiet place to think. Unless you don’t want to think, if you know what I mean.” wink wink
“You are a horny b*****d.”
“Heh heh, come here.” he sat down against the Oak Tree and spread out his legs. He beckoned for Ed to sit in between them. Ed sat down and rested upon Roy’s chest. It was still a clear night, stars shining over them with the moon as there guide. The wind blew softly rustling the leaves above their head.
“You know come to think of it, I am kinda cold.”
“Heh heh, really?” Roy moved his arms around Ed, holding him closer. Ed placed his head again on Roy’s chest. He turned it so he was looking up at Roy, who was looking down at him. Ed’s cheek felt the smooth black fabric that Roy’s shirt was made of. “Is that better Ed?”
“Hmm, yup.”
“So, what now? I think you already no how I feel, what are those questions you wanted to ask me?”
“Sigh, alright. Why did you suddenly decide to come running to my house to tell me all this at 12:30 at night? I mean, it couldn’t wait? And you suddenly think everything’s going to be fine just because your alright with all this. And what about this sudden change of heart towards me? Not to long ago I remember you being a total flake to me.”
“Whoa, settle down there. Why are you in such a bad mood all of the sudden?”
“Well can you blame me? I mean, everything is moving so fast. And your so different now. How do I know if this is really they way you feel towards me? Like I said, it’s all going so fast! I just want to make sure this is not some fling.” Ed said this with and interrogating look in his eye.
“Do you feel this is a fling?”
“...no Roy. I...care about you. I have real feelings for you, ones that make me want to jump into your arms and never look back. But I can’t do that before I know that this is all real. I need to know why your doing all this for me, I know this might not make sense and I’m sorry. But, I just want to know that you really care for me.”
“Ed, what a stupid question to ask. Of course I really care about you. Sigh, let me explain. The reason I came running to your house in the middle of the night is because I wanted to tell you that I know what I want. You. I felt bad for confusing you earlier in work today, but I didn’t know what was going on with me. I realized that we were meant for each other, that I had to see you or I would get sick. That’s why it couldn’t wait, that’s why I had to tell you in the middle of the night. And I know it’s not ok, I was harsh to you in the past because I wanted to block my feelings for you. I was falling for a guy, that didn’t sound too good to me. I’m sorry I was cold to you, I didn’t know what I was thinking at the time. Can you forgive me?” Roy looked down, with his eyes lowered in a deep solemn way. Ed could see that he meant it, he was relieved.
“Yes, I will.”
“Now, I have some questions for you...” Roy said with a devious tone. It was a relief to know that Ed forgave him and that his feelings had been returned and not rejected.
“Ok, but first I want you to know that,” Ed snuggled closer to Roy, “that your mine too. No ones taking you away from me either.” He felt better getting that off his chest.
“Ok, now for those questions.” Roy said with a malicious smile.
“Shoot.”
“Question 1: What time is it? Question 2: Do you think Winry is wondering where you are? And question 3: You wanna make out some more before we have to go our separate ways for the night?”
“Oh...well, in this order. Yes, it’s 1:46. Umm, she might so I better get back. And even if I said ‘no’, you would still do it anyway, right?”
“Uh huh. But is that a yes or a no?”
Ed turned around and put his lips to Roy’s ear. “What do you think?”
Roy raised his arms and held Ed’s shoulders. Roy took one of his hands and held Ed’s face in it. “Your stubborn.” Ed then blushed a pink, his hand was so gentle and warm. He then moved his face into Roy’s, lips meeting. Both willing, wanting. Ed closed his eyes taking in the sweet serenity of the moment. The wind blew softly, moving some strands of their hair. The moon continued to shine brightly on both of them, stars lighting up the sky. Their kiss was long and pure. They both knew that they would have to leave each other tonight, the reality of it all hit them.
Ed moved in deeper, pushing Roy back harder against the tree. They continued to hold there kiss. There wet tongues moved over one another, caressing the insides of there mouth. “Hmmm.” Ed moaned. They broke free, Ed kissed Roy’s bottom lip softly. He wrapped his arms around Roy as he rubbed his cheek against Roy’s neck. Roy wrapped his arm around Ed, hugging him close. Ed stopped, and rested his head on Roy’s chest. Roy then laid he head on top of Ed’s. He breathed in smelling Ed’s aroma.
“We should go back.” Ed proclaimed.
“...alright.” Roy said sadly.
Ed tried to move but Roy held him tight. “Not yet, please don’t go yet.” Ed could hear the ache in his voice. Ed felt it too, he didn’t want to leave but the thought of Winry waking and wondering where he was led him to believe that they would be found out. He couldn’t deal with all that just yet. The two men just laid there with each other for a couple moments longer.
They both got up and started walking to the house in silence. They both were thinking about tomorrow and what the future held in store for them. As they walked up the final road to Ed’s house they saw that the lights were on in his bedroom.
“s**t, she’s awake. We gotta say good-bye here. She can’t know that I was with you.”
“Ed, come with me.”
“I...I can’t. I wish I could, but if she knew then...I don’t want to think about it.”
“Sigh, ok.”
Ed walked over to him and gave him one last kiss. As Ed turned around to walk up the street Roy grabbed his arm and swung him back to him. He embraced him with a hug so tight it was as if they were holding on for dear life.
“I don’t want to let go...” Ed laughed sadly.
“I never will.” they let go of each other.
“Hey, I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“True, but Ed...”
“Yes?”
“I need my jacket back.”
He realized he still wore the blue jacket that Roy had given him. He slowly pulled it off and handed it to back to him. Roy watched Ed turn around and walk up the street until he couldn’t see through the darkness anymore. Roy turned and headed towards his own house thinking of Ed the entire way home.
As Ed walked up the path to the steps of his porch he looked down and saw his shirt laying on the grass. He bent down to grab it and put it on. When he got up he stood there, then a tear came to his eye.
“Horny b*****d.” he laughed as he wiped away the tear.
Ed walked up the steps and into the house. Winry was in the other room sitting up in the bed reading. He moved into the room and Winry caught site of him. She laid down the book she was reading and looked up at him with a worried face.
“Where have you been? I woke up and you weren’t there! I checked the house I couldn’t find you.”
“Relax, I just went out for a walk to clear my head.”
“Ok, are you alright?”
“Yeah I’m fine.”
“Ok, well come into bed and try to get some sleep. It’s late.” She moved the covers down and beckoned him to come lay down. She moved her book to the table beside her and turned off the lamp. Ed crawled into bed and laid on his side facing her.
“Good-night Ed.” she whispered, Ed slowly shut his eyes.
“Yawn, night...Winry.”
“I...love you Edward Elric.” she breathed softly to him. But Ed had fallen asleep, or at least he pretended to be.
‘I’m sorry Winry, but I can’t return that to you. I hope you’ll forgive me one day.’
He turned to the other side and thought of Roy. His smell, his touch, his taste, it all calmed him so that instead of Roy Mustang giving him a restless night, this time he gave Ed peaceful sleep.
‘I love you...Roy Mustang’

Me: YEAH chapter 3 is done and boy did I like that one. I can’t wait till you guys read the next ones. IT’S GONNA BE GOOD!
Roy: sigh...that was great.
Ed: sigh...yeah.
Winry: WHAT THE HELL! I put myself out there for you and you “fall asleep”. WORSE you leave me for a guy 15 yrs. older than you!
Me: BANG! what are you doing here? ROY DESERVES ED, ED DESERVES ROY, YOU DESERVE NO ONE! Bwahahahahaa! (Shoots Winry)
Roy: don’t you think that was pushing it just a little?
Ed and Me: nope.
