“I’m uh, going to go take a shower before we go. Okay?” Gabriel asked. “Okay I’ll wait downstairs…” I said. “Hey Serenity. Here,” he said as he threw a towel at me. “Thanks,” I said, as I left the room, and walked down the stairs.
Things are still awkward, and still will be, thanks to me. I sat there on the floor downstairs, hugging me knees. Do I like Gabriel? I kissed him. Did I just do involuntary? We have been friends for so long. Did I just ruin it for now on? What if he thinks I like him? What if he likes me? Alternatively, Tears started to roll down the side of my cheek; he will not want to be my friend anymore. No more walking home from soccer practice with him, or walking to school, no more chocolate, no more umbrella, no more anything...I waited for him, for a few more minutes, I heard the water turn off, and about fifteen minutes later, I heard the bathroom door open. Footsteps echoed the house; I dried my eyes with my arm, hoping he would not notice I was crying.I looked up and Gabriel was walking towards me, “Serenity…” Gabriel whispered. Here it comes, ‘Maybe we shouldn’t be friends anymore.’ Alternatively, even talk anymore!My best friend Wolfie girl my roommate too! She is with Gabriel’s boy best friend Genis… Do boys have best friends?? Whatever…“Serenity, we’re still best friends right?” Gabriel asked.
